Setup and Installation

1. Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape.
  2. Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.
  3. Remove any internal packing materials and accessories.

2. Location

  • Place the refrigerator on a firm, level surface that can support its weight (approximately 43 kg).
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Allow at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space at the back and sides for proper air circulation.
  • Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources (e.g., radiators, ovens) as these can increase energy consumption.
  • Do not install in areas where the temperature is likely to fall below 10°C (50°F) or rise above 32°C (90°F).

3. Leveling

Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the refrigerator to ensure it is stable and level. A level refrigerator operates more efficiently and quietly.

4. Power Connection

  • Before plugging in, allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
  • Connect the refrigerator to a dedicated, grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.
  • Verify that the power supply voltage matches the rating on the appliance's nameplate.

Operating Instructions

1. Initial Start-up

After plugging in the refrigerator, allow it to operate for 2-3 hours before placing food inside. This ensures the interior reaches the optimal temperature.

2. Temperature Control

The temperature control dial is typically located inside the refrigerator compartment. Adjust the dial to your desired setting. Higher numbers usually indicate colder temperatures.

  • Recommended Setting: For general use, a medium setting is often sufficient.
  • Adjusting: Turn the dial clockwise for colder temperatures and counter-clockwise for warmer temperatures.
  • Factors Affecting Temperature: Ambient room temperature, frequency of door openings, and amount of food stored can all affect the internal temperature.

3. Food Storage

  • Do not overload the refrigerator. Allow space for air to circulate around items.
  • Store food in sealed containers to prevent odors and maintain freshness.
  • Avoid placing hot food directly into the refrigerator; allow it to cool down first.

Maintenance and Care

1. Cleaning the Interior

  • Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
  • Clean the interior with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Wipe dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  • Removable shelves and drawers can be washed in warm soapy water.

2. Cleaning the Exterior

  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent.
  • For stainless steel finishes (if applicable), use a specialized stainless steel cleaner.
  • Clean the door gasket regularly to ensure a tight seal.

3. Defrosting

This refrigerator may require manual defrosting if ice builds up significantly. Excessive ice accumulation reduces cooling efficiency.

  1. Unplug the refrigerator.
  2. Remove all food items and place them in a cooler.
  3. Leave the door open to allow ice to melt naturally. Place towels at the bottom to absorb water.
  4. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove ice.
  5. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior before plugging it back in and returning food.

4. Power Outage

In case of a power outage, keep the refrigerator door closed to maintain the internal temperature for as long as possible. Avoid opening the door unnecessarily.
