1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the operation and maintenance of your replacement remote control for various Blueridge AC Air Conditioner models. This remote is designed to provide essential control over your air conditioning unit. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure proper operation and to maximize the lifespan of your remote control.

Important Note: This is a replacement remote control. While it is designed to be compatible with the listed Blueridge models, some advanced or specific functions of your original unit's remote may not be fully supported or may operate differently. Please verify compatibility with your specific AC unit model before relying solely on this remote for all functions.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Press down on the tab and slide the battery cover downwards to open it.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the remote control. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

3. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the indoor unit of your air conditioner when operating. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit.

3.1 Button Functions

• Power Button: Press to turn the air conditioner unit ON or OFF.
• MODE: Cycles through operating modes: Auto, Cool, Dry, Fan, Heat (availability depends on your AC unit's capabilities).
• FAN: Adjusts the fan speed (Auto, Low, Medium, High).
• TEMP ▲ / ▼: Increases or decreases the set temperature.
• SWING: Activates or deactivates the automatic swing of the air deflector.
• SLEEP: Activates or deactivates Sleep Mode, which adjusts temperature and fan speed for comfortable sleep.
• IFEEL: Activates the "I FEEL" function, which senses the temperature at the remote's location to optimize comfort.
• LIGHT: Turns the display light on or off on some indoor units.
• TURBO: Activates rapid cooling or heating for a short period.
• CLOCK: Used to set the current time on the remote's display. Refer to your AC unit's manual for specific clock synchronization if needed.
• TIMER ON: Sets a timer for the unit to turn ON automatically.
• TIMER OFF: Sets a timer for the unit to turn OFF automatically.

Note on Temperature Display: This remote control may not support changing the temperature display from Celsius to Fahrenheit. The display will typically show Celsius.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Remote

To clean the remote control, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

4.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the batteries when the remote's display becomes dim or when the remote no longer responds to button presses. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AAA batteries. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

4.3 Storage

Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity. Avoid dropping the remote or exposing it to strong impacts.

5. Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
  • Replace old batteries with new ones.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the AC unit's receiver.
  • Confirm you are within the effective operating range (typically 8 meters/26 feet).
• Display is dim or blank:
  • Batteries are low. Replace them.
• Some functions do not work:
  • This remote is a replacement and may not support all functions of your original AC unit's remote. Refer to your AC unit's original manual for specific features.
  • Ensure your AC unit model is listed as compatible with this remote.
