6.1 Battery Installation

7. Operating Instructions
7.1 Channel Selection
- With the radio powered on, press the MENU button once. The channel number on the LCD will flash.
- Use the Up or Down arrow buttons to select your desired channel (1-16).
- Press the MENU button again to confirm the selection and exit the channel setting mode.
7.2 Transmitting and Receiving (PTT)
- Ensure your radio is on the same channel as the other party.
- To transmit, press and hold the PTT button located on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone.
- Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and listen for a response.
7.3 VOX Function (Voice-Activated Transmission)
