Setup
1. Attaching the Lens
- Remove the body cap from the camera and the rear lens cap from the lens.
- Align the red index mark on the lens with the red index mark on the camera body.
- Turn the lens clockwise until it clicks into place.
2. Inserting the Battery
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the LP-E10 battery with the electrical contacts facing inward, ensuring it clicks into place.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
3. Charging the Battery
- Insert the LP-E10 battery into the LC-E10 charger.
- Plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
- Charging is complete when the indicator light turns off.
4. Inserting a Memory Card
- Open the memory card slot cover on the side of the camera.
- Insert an SD card (32GB cards are included) with the label facing the front of the camera until it clicks.
- Close the memory card slot cover.
Operating the Camera
Basic Shooting
- Turn the camera on using the power switch.
- Set the mode dial to Scene Intelligent Auto for automatic settings.
- Look through the viewfinder or use Live View on the LCD screen to compose your shot.
- Press the shutter button halfway to focus, then press it fully to take the picture.
Shooting Modes
The mode dial allows you to select various shooting modes:
- Scene Intelligent Auto: Fully automatic mode for general photography.
- Creative Auto: Offers some control over depth of field and ambiance while maintaining ease of use.
- Program AE (P): Camera sets aperture and shutter speed, but you can adjust other settings.
- Shutter-priority AE (Tv): You set the shutter speed, camera sets aperture.
- Aperture-priority AE (Av): You set the aperture, camera sets shutter speed.
- Manual Exposure (M): You control both aperture and shutter speed.
- Movie Shooting: For recording Full HD 1080p videos.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
The Canon Rebel T100 features built-in Wi-Fi for easy sharing and remote control via the Canon Camera Connect app. Download the app to your compatible smartphone or tablet to connect.

The 0.43x wide-angle lens attachment expands your field of view, allowing you to capture more of the scene. It also includes a macro function for close-up photography. Screw it onto the front filter thread of your 18-55mm lens.
Digital Slave Flash

The Digital Slave Flash provides additional illumination. Mount it onto the included bracket, which screws into the tripod mount at the bottom of your camera. The flash is activated by optical triggering, syncing with your camera's built-in flash when it pops up and fires.
Lens Cap Keeper

Attach the lens cap keeper to your lens cap and the camera strap or lens barrel to prevent losing the lens cap during shooting.
Lens Cleaning Pen & Kit

Use the lens cleaning pen and the 3-piece cleaning kit to maintain the cleanliness of your camera lens and body. The pen features a retractable brush for dust and a flat tip for smudges. Always use gentle motions and appropriate cleaning solutions.
