3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights:

1. Planning: Determine the desired placement for your lights. Install the string lights 2-4 inches (5-10 cm) away from the wall surface to achieve the optimal triangular lighting effect.
2. Surface Preparation: Clean the surface where the lights will be installed with a cloth or tissue to ensure proper adhesion of the VHB glue.
3. Applying VHB Glue: Tear off the VHB glue on the back of each light.
4. Mounting Lights: Press each light firmly against the surface for more than 5 seconds to secure it.
5. Securing with Clips: Attach 4 screw clips to each string light to keep them secure, especially on eaves.
6. Connecting Segments: Splice through waterproof joints every 16.4ft (5m) if you are connecting multiple light segments. Ensure connections are secure.
7. Waterproof Cap: Firmly screw the waterproof connector cap of the last string light section.

Important Note: The Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights cannot be cut. Do not attempt to shorten the light strips.
