4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting Height and Leg Angles
- Leg Extension: Open the flip-locks on each leg section and extend the legs to the desired height. Close the flip-locks firmly to secure.
- Leg Angle: Press the leg angle adjustment tabs at the top of each leg to change the leg spread. This allows for low-angle shooting or increased stability on uneven surfaces.
4.2 Ball Head Operation
- Positioning: Loosen the main locking knob on the ball head to adjust your camera's angle. Tighten the knob to lock the position.
- 360° Panorama: Use the dedicated panorama locking knob (usually at the base of the ball head) to rotate the camera smoothly for panoramic shots without affecting the tilt.
- Horizontal/Vertical Shooting: The ball head features U-shaped slots allowing for quick transition between horizontal and vertical camera orientations.
- Leveling: Utilize the integrated bubble level to ensure your camera is perfectly horizontal for accurate shots.
4.3 Detachable Center Column and Inverted Mode
The center column can be detached and inverted for extremely low-angle photography or macro shooting. To do this:
- Fully extend the center column.
- Unscrew the locking collar at the base of the center column to remove it.
- Invert the column and reinsert it into the tripod's main body. Tighten the locking collar securely.
- Reattach your camera to the quick release plate on the inverted column.

4.4 Using the Built-in Foot Spikes
For enhanced stability on soft ground, such as dirt, grass, or sand, the tripod features built-in foot spikes. To deploy them, simply twist and remove the rubber foot pads at the bottom of each leg. Replace the rubber pads when shooting on hard or delicate surfaces to prevent damage.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, especially in dusty, sandy, or wet environments, wipe down the tripod with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Lubrication: Periodically check the leg locks and ball head for smooth operation. If they become stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts. Do not over-lubricate.
- Storage: Store the tripod in its carrying bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is clean and dry before storage to prevent corrosion.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws, bolts, and quick-release mechanisms for tightness. Use the provided Allen key to tighten any loose components.
6. Troubleshooting
- Tripod Instability:
- Ensure all leg sections are fully extended and their quick-release buckles are securely locked.
- Verify that the leg angles are set evenly.
- Check that the camera is properly mounted and the quick release plate is firmly tightened.
- On soft ground, deploy the built-in foot spikes for better grip.
- Stiff Leg Locks or Ball Head:
- Clean any dirt or debris from the mechanisms.
- Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the moving parts.
- Camera Not Level:
- Adjust the tripod legs and use the integrated bubble level to achieve a perfectly horizontal setup.
- Ensure the ball head is securely locked after positioning.
