Defrosting
This freezer features automatic defrosting. However, if excessive frost builds up, manual defrosting may be required. To manually defrost, unplug the unit, remove all food, and allow the frost to melt naturally. Wipe dry before restarting.
Power Outage
In case of a power outage, keep the freezer door closed to maintain the internal temperature for as long as possible. Food can remain frozen for several hours depending on the ambient temperature and how full the freezer is.
Troubleshooting
Before contacting service, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Freezer does not operate | Not plugged in; circuit breaker tripped; power outage. | Ensure plug is secure; reset breaker; check household power. |
| Temperature is not cold enough | Door not closed properly; excessive door openings; warm food added; poor ventilation; temperature setting too high. | Check door seal; reduce door openings; allow warm food to cool before placing in freezer; ensure proper clearance; adjust temperature setting lower. |
| Excessive frost buildup | Door left open; high humidity; frequent door openings. | Ensure door is sealed; avoid opening door frequently; manually defrost if necessary. |
| Noisy operation | Freezer not level; objects vibrating against unit; normal compressor sounds. | Level the freezer; ensure nothing is touching the unit; normal operating sounds are expected. |
