Setup and Installation

Mounting the Camera

The camera can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Choose a location that provides the desired field of view and is within reach of your network cabling.

  1. Mark the drilling points using the camera's base as a template.
  2. Drill pilot holes and insert wall anchors if mounting on drywall or masonry.
  3. Secure the camera base to the surface using the provided screws.
  4. Adjust the camera angle for optimal coverage.

Connection Methods

The Anpviz PoE IP Bullet Camera offers flexible connection options:

  • Directly to a PoE NVR: For a plug-and-play setup with Anpviz PoE NVRs or other Onvif-compatible NVRs.
  • To a PoE Switch/Injector: If you do not have a PoE NVR, connect the camera to a DC 48-54V PoE Switch or Injector.
  • Using a DC12V Power Adapter: If neither an NVR nor a PoE switch is available, the camera can be powered by a DC12V power adapter (not included) and connected to your network via a standard Ethernet cable.
PoE Connection Example

Connecting to an NVR System

Follow these steps to connect your camera to a Network Video Recorder (NVR):

Connecting Camera to NVR Diagram

Figure 4: Diagram illustrating the connection of the camera to an NVR system. This setup typically involves connecting the camera to the NVR's PoE ports, and the NVR to a monitor/TV, mouse, and power source. An Ethernet extension cable may be required for longer distances.

  1. Connect the camera's Ethernet cable to a PoE port on your NVR.
  2. Connect your NVR to a monitor/TV via HDMI or VGA.
  3. Connect a mouse to the NVR for navigation.
  4. Ensure the NVR is connected to a power source.
  5. The camera should be automatically detected by the NVR. Refer to your NVR's manual for specific camera addition procedures if needed.

Connecting for Standalone Use (to PC/Router)

For standalone use, connect the camera to a PoE switch/injector or use a DC12V power adapter, then connect to your network router.

Connecting Camera to PC Diagram

Figure 5: Diagram showing standalone camera connection options. The camera can be powered by a PoE switch/injector or a DC12V adapter, then connected to a router. This setup allows access via PC client software or mobile apps.

  1. Connect the camera to a PoE switch/injector via Ethernet, or use a DC12V power adapter (not included) for power.
  2. Connect the PoE switch/injector (or the camera directly if using a non-PoE switch with DC power) to your network router via an Ethernet cable.
  3. Download and install the appropriate PC client software (VideoLink/LMS for U Series) or mobile app (VideoLink for U Series) from the Anpviz website or app stores.
  4. Follow the software/app instructions to add and configure the camera.
