1. Introduction and Overview

The SEESII NanoVNA-H4 is an upgraded Vector Network Analyzer designed for precise measurement of RF parameters. 2.2. Initial Setup

  1. Charging the Device: Connect the NanoVNA-H4 to a USB power source using the provided USB Type-C cable. The charging indicator will illuminate during charging.
  2. Power On: Locate the power switch on the side of the device and slide it to the ON position. The screen will light up, displaying the main interface.
  3. Removing Protective Covers: If present, remove any protective covers from the SMA ports (PORT1 and PORT2) before connecting cables.

3.1. Touchscreen Operation

The NanoVNA-H4 features a 4.0-inch resistive touchscreen. It can be operated using your finger, the included touchscreen pen, or a non-conductive paddle for precise control.

3.2. Basic Measurements

The NanoVNA-H4 is capable of measuring various parameters including S Parameters (S11/S21), Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), Phase, Delay, and Smith Chart. The default firmware is primarily configured for antenna performance measurement.

For comprehensive S11/S21 parameter measurements using the TX/RX method, manual replacement of the transceiver port wiring may be required.

3.3. Calibration

Calibration is crucial for accurate measurements. The NanoVNA-H4 features a built-in calibration function. It is recommended to perform calibration whenever the frequency range to be measured is changed.

Use the provided SMA male calibration kit (OPEN, SHORT, LOAD) for precise calibration. Refer to the on-screen menu for calibration steps.

3.4. Data Storage and PC/Android Connection

The device includes a MicroSD card port, supporting up to 32GB memory cards (not included). This allows you to save field test data or screenshots directly to the card.

For advanced analysis and data management, the NanoVNA-H4 can connect to a PC using the NanoVNASaver software. This software allows you to extract data for display on a computer and save it to Touchstone (.snp) files, which are compatible with various radio design and simulation software.

Additionally, the device supports control via Android phones using the NanoVNA-Web-Client/WebAPP.
