4. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your Smok MAG-18 Kit for first use:
4.1. Battery Installation
- Ensure the device is powered off.
- Locate the battery cap at the bottom of the mod.
- Slide or open the battery cap according to the indicator.
- Insert two 18650 batteries (not included) according to the correct polarity markings (+/-) inside the battery compartment.
- Close the battery cap securely.
Note: 18650 batteries are not included in the package. Please use high-drain, authentic 18650 batteries for safety and optimal performance. It is recommended to charge batteries using an external charger.
4.2. Coil Installation
- Unscrew the base of the TFV18 Tank from the top section.
- If a coil is already installed, unscrew it.
- Screw the new TFV18 or TFV16 series coil firmly into the tank base.
- Ensure the coil is seated correctly to prevent leaks.

4.3. Tank Filling (E-liquid)
- Locate the top cap of the TFV18 Tank.
- Press the button on the top cap and slide it open to reveal the filling port. This is the child-safe mechanism.
- Carefully fill the tank with your preferred e-liquid through the filling port. Avoid pouring e-liquid into the central airflow tube.
- Slide the top cap back into place until it clicks securely.

4.4. Priming the Coil
Before first use, it is crucial to prime the coil to prevent dry hits and extend coil life:
- After filling the tank, let it stand upright for at least 5-10 minutes to allow the e-liquid to fully saturate the coil's cotton.
- Alternatively, you can manually drip a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the cotton wicking ports of the coil before installation.
4.5. Assembling the Kit
- Screw the filled TFV18 Tank onto the 510 connector of the MAG-18 Mod.
- Ensure it is screwed on firmly but do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions
Learn how to operate your Smok MAG-18 Kit:
5.1. Power On/Off
- To turn the device ON: Press the Fire Key 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds.
- To turn the device OFF: Press the Fire Key 5 times rapidly within 2 seconds. The screen will display "POWER OFF" or similar.
5.2. Vaping
- Press and hold the Fire Key while inhaling from the mouthpiece.
- Release the Fire Key when you finish inhaling.
5.3. Wattage Adjustment
- Use the UP and DOWN adjustment buttons located below the screen to increase or decrease the wattage.
- The wattage range is 1W to 230W. Adjust according to your coil's recommended wattage range for optimal performance and coil longevity.

6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your MAG-18 Kit:
6.1. Cleaning the Device
- Regularly wipe down the mod and tank with a clean, dry cloth.
- For stubborn e-liquid residue, use a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly.
- Clean the 510 connector on both the mod and tank to ensure good conductivity.
6.2. Coil Replacement
Coils are consumable parts and need to be replaced regularly, typically every 1-2 weeks depending on usage and e-liquid. Replace the coil when you notice a burnt taste, reduced vapor production, or diminished flavor.
- Empty the tank of e-liquid.
- Unscrew the tank base.
- Unscrew the old coil from the base.
- Install a new coil as described in Section 4.2.
- Prime the new coil before use (Section 4.4).
6.3. Tank Disassembly and Reassembly
