4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

Before first use, ensure the battery is correctly installed and charged. The printer comes with a 1500mAh rechargeable battery.

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the printer.
  2. Insert the battery into the compartment, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
  3. Important: Remove the yellow insulated sticker from the battery contacts before installation if present.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Loading Thermal Paper

The printer uses 80mm wide thermal paper rolls. Follow these steps to load the paper:

  1. Gently push the cover open button (usually on the side or top) to open the paper compartment cover.
  2. Insert the thermal paper roll with the printing side facing outwards (as shown in the correct example in Figure 5). Ensure the roll is centered.
  3. Pull a small length of paper out beyond the cutter.
  4. Close the paper compartment cover firmly until it clicks into place.

4.3 Power Connection

To charge the printer or operate it directly from a power source:

  1. Connect the provided AC adapter to the printer's charging port.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a suitable power outlet (110-240V, 50/60Hz).
  3. The charging indicator light on the printer will illuminate, indicating that the battery is charging.

5. Operating the Printer

5.1 Connecting via Bluetooth

The MTP-3 printer supports Bluetooth 2.0+4.0 for wireless connection with various devices, including iOS, Android, Windows, MAC, and Linux systems.

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on. The Bluetooth indicator light should be blinking or solid blue.
  2. On your mobile device or computer, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "MTP-3" or a similar device name from the list to pair. If prompted for a password, enter "0000" or "1234".
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator light on the printer will typically become solid, indicating a successful connection.

5.2 Printing a Receipt

Once connected, you can print receipts or other thermal paper documents using compatible software or applications on your device.

  1. Open the printing application on your connected device.
  2. Select the MTP-3 printer from the list of available printers.
  3. Prepare the content you wish to print (e.g., a sales receipt, a ticket, or a barcode).
  4. Initiate the print command from the application. The printer will automatically feed and print the content.
