2.1. Unpacking and Contents
Carefully unpack your camera and check that all items are present. The standard package includes:

2.2. Battery Installation
The KODAK PIXPRO FZ45-BK uses two AA batteries. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the camera. Insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment. Close the cover securely.
Note: For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to use high-quality rechargeable AA batteries.
2.3. Memory Card Installation
This camera supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards up to 512GB, with a minimum requirement of Class 10 for optimal performance. The memory card slot is located within the battery compartment. Insert the memory card with the gold contacts facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place. To remove, push the card in slightly until it springs out.
Important: Some users have reported issues with SDXC cards. If you experience problems saving photos, ensure your SDXC card is formatted correctly or consider using an SDHC card.

3. Operating the Camera
3.1. Powering On/Off
Press the power button located on the top of the camera to turn it on or off. The lens will extend when powered on.

3.2. Taking Photos
To take a photo, frame your subject using the 2.7-inch LCD screen. Press the shutter button halfway down to focus, then press it all the way down to capture the image.

3.3. Optical Zoom
The camera features a 4x optical zoom. Use the zoom lever (W/T) located near the shutter button to zoom in (T) or out (W) on your subject. Optical zoom maintains image quality, unlike digital zoom.

3.4. Video Recording
To record 1080p Full HD video, press the dedicated video record button. Press it again to stop recording. The camera is suitable for capturing everyday moments and vlogging.

3.5. Scene Modes and Settings
The camera offers various scene modes to optimize settings for different shooting conditions. Use the 'MODE' button to cycle through options like Auto, Program AE, Manual, Movie, Scene (SCN), Panorama, and Face Beautifier. Adjust settings like flash mode (Auto, Red-Eye Reduction, Fill Flash, Force Off, Slow Synchro) using the directional pad.

3.6. Image Transfer
To transfer photos and videos, connect the camera to a computer using the provided USB cable. Alternatively, remove the SD card and use an SD card reader to transfer files to your computer or smartphone.
