This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new CoffeeB Globe machine.

The CoffeeB system is engineered for sustainability, utilizing 100% garden-compostable Coffee Balls. The machine itself incorporates 34% recycled plastic material in its design, reflecting a commitment to environmental responsibility.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
  • Unplug the machine from the power outlet when not in use and before cleaning.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the coffee machine and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Remove any protective films or stickers from the appliance.
  3. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.

4.2 Initial Cleaning and Rinse

  1. Wash the water tank and drip tray with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  2. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX level.
  3. Place a large container under the coffee outlet.
  4. Plug the machine into a grounded power outlet.
  5. Press the power button to turn on the machine. It will heat up quickly.
  6. Once heated, press a brew button (without a Coffee Ball) to run a full cycle of hot water through the system. Repeat this process 2-3 times to clean the internal components.

5. Operating

5.1 Brewing Coffee

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
  2. Open the coffee ball compartment lid.
  3. Insert a Coffee Ball into the designated slot. The machine is designed to hold multiple Coffee Balls in a rotating dispenser.

  1. Close the coffee ball compartment lid.
  2. Place a cup on the drip tray under the coffee outlet.
  3. Pull the lever to the right to engage the Coffee Ball.
  4. Press the desired brew button (e.g., small cup for espresso, large cup for lungo). The machine will begin brewing.
  5. Once brewing is complete, the used Coffee Ball will be automatically ejected into the internal collection container.

5.2 Programming Cup Size

The CoffeeB Globe allows you to customize your preferred cup size.

  1. Place a Coffee Ball and a cup as described in section 5.1.
  2. Press and hold the desired brew button (small or large cup).
  3. Release the button when your cup reaches the desired fill level. The machine will remember this setting for future brews.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Empty and clean the drip tray and used Coffee Ball container daily. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse.
  • Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Rinse the water tank with fresh water daily.

6.2 Descaling

Regular descaling is crucial for maintaining machine performance and longevity. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage.

  1. Refer to the descaling instructions provided with your CoffeeB descaling solution.
  2. Follow the steps carefully, typically involving filling the water tank with descaling solution and running several cycles.
  3. After descaling, rinse the machine thoroughly by running several cycles with fresh water to remove any descaling residue.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, consult this section before contacting support.
