5. Maintenance

Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
  2. Wash the baskets and lid with warm soapy water.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. For the heating plate, wipe the interior with a soft cloth. Ensure the sterilizer is completely dry before storage.

Descaling:

Mineral deposits (scale) may accumulate on the heating plate over time, especially if tap water is used. Descaling is recommended regularly to maintain performance.

  • Method 1 (Vinegar): Add one part white vinegar and one part hot water (below 120°F) to the water reservoir. Allow the mixture to soak until the scale is dissolved.
  • Method 2 (Citric Acid): Add hot water (below 140°F) and citric acid to the sterilizer. Allow the mixture to soak until the scale is dissolved.

After descaling, empty the sterilizer and clean with water. Brush the bottom and rim of the heating plate if necessary. Wipe the interior with a soft cloth and allow to dry completely.

Filter Replacement:

The appliance uses a polyester filter for the drying function. Two pieces of polyester filter cloth are included for replacement.
