4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove the generator from its packaging. Inspect for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Report any damage to your dealer immediately.

4.2 Adding Engine Oil

The generator is shipped without engine oil. It is crucial to add the correct type and amount of oil before first use.

  1. Place the generator on a level surface.
  2. Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
  3. Unscrew and remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
  4. Carefully pour the recommended engine oil (e.g., SAE 10W-30) into the oil fill opening until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
  5. Replace and tighten the oil fill cap/dipstick.

NOTE: Running the engine without sufficient oil will cause severe damage and void the warranty.

4.3 Adding Fuel

Use only fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher.

  1. Ensure the generator is turned OFF and has cooled down.
  2. Move the generator to a well-ventilated outdoor area.
  3. Unscrew the fuel tank cap.
  4. Slowly add gasoline to the fuel tank, being careful not to overfill. Leave some space for fuel expansion.
  5. Securely replace the fuel tank cap.

WARNING: Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks near the generator when refueling.

4.4 Placement

Position the generator on a firm, level surface in a well-ventilated outdoor area, at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from buildings, other equipment, and combustible materials. Ensure exhaust fumes are directed away from people and occupied areas.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Engine

  1. Ensure the generator has adequate oil and fuel.
  2. Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator outlets.
  3. Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
  4. If the engine is cold, move the choke lever to the "CHOKE" position. If the engine is warm, move it to the "RUN" position.
  5. Turn the engine switch to the "ON" position.
  6. Grasp the recoil starter handle firmly and pull it slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and smoothly to start the engine. Repeat if necessary.
  7. Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.

5.2 Connecting Electrical Devices

After the engine has started and is running smoothly:

  1. Plug in the electrical devices to the appropriate AC or DC outlets.
  2. Ensure the total load does not exceed the generator's rated output (3800W peak).
  3. Monitor the LCD display for power output and other operational parameters.

5.3 Using ECO Mode

The ECO mode switch allows the engine to automatically adjust its speed to match the electrical load. This reduces fuel consumption and noise levels when operating at less than full capacity.

5.4 Shutting Down the Engine

  1. Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator outlets.
  2. Allow the engine to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
  3. Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
  4. Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is essential for the longevity and reliable operation of your generator. Always perform maintenance with the engine off and cool.

6.1 Engine Oil Check and Change

6.2 Air Filter Cleaning

Inspect the air filter every 50 hours or more frequently in dusty conditions. Clean or replace as needed.

  1. Remove the air filter cover.
  2. Remove the foam filter element.
  3. Wash the element in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry completely.
  4. Lightly oil the foam element with engine oil, then squeeze out excess oil.
  5. Reinstall the filter element and cover.

6.3 Spark Plug Inspection

Inspect the spark plug every 100 hours or annually. Replace if necessary.

  1. Remove the spark plug cap.
  2. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug.
  3. Check for carbon deposits and wear. Clean with a wire brush or replace with a new spark plug of the recommended type.
  4. Set the spark plug gap according to specifications in the manual.
  5. Reinstall the spark plug and cap.

6.4 Fuel System Maintenance

For long-term storage (over 30 days), it is recommended to drain the fuel tank and carburetor or use a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation.

6.5 Storage

When storing the generator for extended periods, ensure the fuel system is prepared (as above), the oil is fresh, and the generator is cleaned. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area, covered to protect from dust and moisture.
