3. Assembly Instructions

1. Unfold UHF Reflecting Nets: Carefully open the UHF reflecting nets until they click into place.
2. Open VHF Vibrator: Extend both sides of the VHF vibrator until fully open.
3. Connect VHF Signal Connector: Attach the VHF signal connecting cable to the designated port on the VHF vibrator.
4. Attach VHF Vibrator to Director Element: Use the provided brackets and two bolts to connect the VHF vibrator to the director element. Secure with butterfly wingnuts.
5. Attach Director Elements: Use the brackets and two bolts to attach the two director elements to the main antenna boom. Tighten with wingnuts.
6. Attach UV Vibrator: Secure the UV vibrator to the antenna boom using the butterfly bolt.
7. Align VHF Reflectors: Align the VHF reflectors and secure them using the three butterfly bolts.
8. Slide Reflecting Nets: Slide the reflecting nets onto the antenna boom until they are securely in place.

4. Installation

The Five Star Outdoor HDTV Antenna can be mounted on a roof, in an attic, on a chimney, eave, or mast. For optimal reception, mount the antenna in a location with a clear line of sight to broadcast towers.

4.1. Finding Nearest Antenna Tower

To determine the optimal direction for your antenna, identify the location of your nearest broadcast towers:

1. Go to TV Fool or a similar signal locator website.
2. Enter your zip code or full address.
3. The website will provide a signal analysis report, including a compass-like chart showing the direction of broadcast towers relative to your location.
4. Adjust your antenna's direction to face the strongest signal towers for the best reception.

4.2. Mounting the Antenna

Use the provided J-pole and mounting bracket to secure the antenna. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and can support the antenna, especially in windy conditions. The J-pole allows for flexible positioning.
