3. Setup Instructions
The Smartmak Portable Far Infrared Sauna is designed for quick and easy assembly, typically within 5 minutes.
3.1 Frame Assembly
- Identify the different lengths of PVC pipes. The instruction manual will specify which pipes connect to form the base, sides, and top.
- Connect the pipes by pressing the push-buttons and inserting them into the corresponding connectors. Ensure all connections are secure.
3.2 Tent Installation
- Carefully drape the sauna tent fabric over the assembled PVC frame. Ensure the tent is oriented correctly with the main opening facing forward.
- Secure the tent to the frame using any integrated fasteners or straps.
3.3 Component Connection
- Attach the three heating panels to the interior walls of the sauna tent using the Velcro strips. Connect the panels to the main power unit using the provided connectors.
- Install the LED light in the designated area on the ceiling of the tent. Connect its power cable to the main unit, ensuring the wire is routed neatly and securely.
- Place the foot heating pad on the floor of the sauna tent. Connect it to the main power unit.
- Position the sponge pad over the foot heating pad for added comfort.
- Unfold the provided chair and place it inside the sauna.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On and Adjusting Settings
- Plug the sauna's main power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Use the remote control to power on the unit.
- Adjust the desired temperature between 107°F (41°C) and 140°F (60°C) using the remote control.
- Set the session timer for up to 60 minutes using the remote control.
- If desired, activate the LED light by sliding the switch located on the light unit itself.
4.2 Using the Sauna
- Enter the sauna through the double-sided zippers, which allow for easy access from both inside and outside.
- Sit comfortably on the provided folding chair.
- Utilize the double pockets on the tent interior to store personal items like a phone or book.
- If you feel uncomfortable or need fresh air, the front removable window can be opened.
- After your session, power off the unit using the remote control and unplug it from the outlet.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- The sauna tent is made of easy-to-clean, waterproof fabric. After each use, wipe down the interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary.
- Ensure the sauna is completely dry before folding and storing to prevent mildew.
5.2 Storage
- The sauna tent can be easily disassembled and folded for compact storage.
- The folding chair comes with a dedicated storage bag for convenience.
6. Troubleshooting
- Sauna not heating sufficiently: Ensure all zippers are fully closed and the tent is properly sealed to retain heat. Verify all heating panels are correctly connected. Ambient room temperature can affect heating time and maximum temperature.
- Mildew smell: If a mildew smell occurs, thoroughly clean the interior with a mild disinfectant and allow the tent to air out completely in a well-ventilated area before storage.
- Chair discomfort: The included folding chair is designed for portability. If you find it uncomfortable, you may substitute it with a standard camping chair of appropriate size.
