Front Panel:

5. Setup Instructions

  1. Connect Power: Plug the 180W power adapter into the "Power In" port on the rear of the dock, then connect the power cable to a wall outlet.
  2. Connect to Computer: Use the included Thunderbolt 4 cable to connect the dock to a Thunderbolt 4 port on your laptop. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Connect Displays: Connect your external monitors to the DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, or USB-C Multifunction DisplayPort on the rear of the dock. The dock supports multiple 4K displays.
  4. Connect Peripherals: Plug in your USB devices (keyboard, mouse, external drives, etc.) into the available USB-A and USB-C ports on both the front and rear panels.
  5. Network Connection: For a stable wired network, connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 Port on the rear of the dock.
  6. Power On: Press the power button on the front of the dock to power it on. If connected to a compatible Dell laptop, this button can also power on/off the system.

6. Operating Instructions

Once set up, the Dell Thunderbolt 4 Dock operates seamlessly to extend your laptop's capabilities.

  • Automatic Recognition: Your operating system should automatically detect the connected displays and peripherals. If not, ensure all drivers are up to date.
  • Display Configuration: Adjust display settings (resolution, arrangement, mirroring/extending) through your computer's display settings.
  • Charging: The dock provides power to your connected laptop and devices through the Thunderbolt 4 cable and PowerShare USB-A port.
