1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Hotec Karaoke Machine. This portable Bluetooth PA speaker is designed to provide high-quality sound and versatile entertainment for various occasions, including karaoke, parties, meetings, and events. This manual provides detailed instructions to help you set up, operate, and maintain your device for optimal performance.

2. What's in the Box

Please check the package contents to ensure all items are present:

  • Karaoke Speaker (1 unit)
  • Wireless Microphones (2 units)
  • Remote Control (1 unit)
  • AUX Cable (1 unit)
  • Charging Cable (Type-C, 1 unit)
  • Shoulder Strap (1 unit)

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the built-in 7.4V/6000mAh Li-ion battery. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the speaker's DC 5V input and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

3.2 Microphone Setup

The two wireless microphones require AA batteries (not included). Insert the batteries into the microphones according to the polarity markings. The microphones are pre-paired with the speaker for immediate use.

3.3 Connecting Audio Sources

The speaker supports multiple audio input methods:

  • Bluetooth 5.0: Turn on the speaker and enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, PC). Search for "HOTEC" in your device's Bluetooth settings and pair.
  • AUX Input: Use the provided AUX cable to connect external audio devices (e.g., MP3 players, laptops) to the speaker's AUX IN port.
  • TF Card/USB: Insert a TF card or USB drive containing audio files into the respective slots on the speaker. The speaker will automatically detect and play the music.

3.4 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Function

For enhanced stereo sound, you can connect two Hotec Karaoke Machines wirelessly:

  1. Ensure both speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
  2. Press the TWS button on one speaker. It will enter pairing mode.
  3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. Once connected, a confirmation sound will be heard.
  4. Now, connect your Bluetooth device to one of the speakers. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The main controls are located on the top panel of the speaker. Familiarize yourself with the buttons and knobs:

  • VOLUME +/-: Adjusts the main speaker volume.
  • MODE: Switches between Bluetooth, AUX, TF Card, and USB input modes.
  • TWS: Activates/deactivates True Wireless Stereo pairing.
  • BASS: Adjusts the bass level.
  • ECHO: Adjusts the echo effect for the microphones.
  • REC/DEL: Press to start recording audio (requires TF card/USB). Long press to delete recorded files.
  • MIC VOL +/-: Adjusts the volume of the connected microphones.
  • LED Light Button: Toggles the LED party lights on/off or cycles through modes.

4.2 Using the Microphones

Once powered on, the wireless microphones will automatically connect to the speaker. Adjust the MIC VOL knob to control the microphone's output volume. Use the ECHO knob to add an echo effect for a karaoke experience.

4.3 Recording Function

To record your performance, ensure a TF card or USB drive is inserted into the corresponding slot. Press the REC/DEL button to begin recording. Press it again to stop recording. The recorded files will be saved on the inserted storage device.

4.4 Power Bank Function

The speaker can act as a power bank to charge other devices via its USB port in emergency situations. Connect your device's charging cable to the speaker's USB port.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your Hotec Karaoke Machine:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the speaker and microphones. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use, especially if storing for extended periods. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Handling: While portable, handle the speaker with care. Avoid dropping or subjecting it to strong impacts, as internal components can be sensitive.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the speaker in a dry environment away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and excessive dust.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Hotec Karaoke Machine, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
