3. Setup Instructions

  1. Connect the Headset: Locate an available USB Type-A port on your computer or gaming console. Insert the USB plug of the uRage SoundZ 400 headset firmly into the USB port.
  2. Driver Installation (Automatic): Your operating system should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers for the headset. This process may take a few moments.
  3. Audio Output/Input Selection: Once installed, navigate to your device's sound settings. Select "uRage SoundZ 400" as your primary audio output device (for headphones) and input device (for microphone).
  4. Adjust Fit: Adjust the headband to comfortably fit your head. Position the microphone arm to your preferred distance from your mouth for clear communication.

4. Operating Instructions

Volume Control

The headset features an in-line control unit on the cable. Use the scroll wheel or dedicated buttons (if present) on this unit to adjust the audio volume up or down. Rotate the wheel upwards to increase volume and downwards to decrease it.

Microphone Mute

To mute or unmute the microphone, use the switch located on the in-line control unit. Slide the switch to the 'Mute' position to disable the microphone, and slide it back to enable it.

Adjustable Microphone

The flexible microphone arm can be bent and positioned to optimize voice pickup. Adjust it closer to your mouth for clearer communication or away when not in use.

5. Maintenance

6. Troubleshooting

No Sound from Headset

  • Ensure the USB plug is fully inserted into the port.
  • Check your device's sound settings to confirm the uRage SoundZ 400 is selected as the output device.
  • Verify the volume control on the in-line unit is not set to minimum and is not muted.
  • Test the headset on another USB port or device to rule out a port issue.

Microphone Not Working

  • Ensure the microphone mute switch on the in-line control is in the 'unmute' position.
  • Check your device's sound settings to confirm the uRage SoundZ 400 is selected as the input device.
  • Adjust the microphone arm closer to your mouth.
  • Ensure no other applications are monopolizing the microphone.

Blue Illumination Not Working

  • Ensure the headset is properly connected via USB. The illumination is powered through the USB connection.
