The rear panel provides all necessary connection ports for integrating the player into your home entertainment system.

7. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your AVPLAY CEN Grand 9i-AD player:

7.1 Connecting to Power

  3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable AC power outlet.

7.2 Connecting to Display (HDMI)

  1. Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI output port on the player's rear panel.
  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an HDMI input port on your TV, projector, or AV receiver.

7.3 Connecting to Audio System

Choose one of the following methods for audio output:

  • HDMI Audio: If your display or AV receiver supports HDMI audio, no separate audio connection is needed.
  • Analog Audio: Connect RCA cables from the R/L CH analog audio outputs on the player to the corresponding analog audio inputs on your amplifier or receiver.
  • Digital Audio: Connect a coaxial or optical cable from the player's digital audio output to the digital audio input on your DAC or AV receiver.

7.4 Network Connection

For network features (NFS/DLNA), connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the player to your network router or switch.

7.5 USB/Internal Storage Connection

To play media from external storage:

  • Insert a USB flash drive or portable hard disk into one of the USB A/B ports on the rear panel.
  • If using an internal hard disk, refer to the separate instructions for internal hard disk installation (not detailed in this manual).

8. Operating Instructions

8.1 Power On/Off

  1. After all connections are made, flip the main power switch on the rear panel to the ON position.
  2. Press the power button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the unit on.
  3. To turn off, press the power button again. For complete power disconnection, flip the rear power switch to OFF.

8.2 Basic Playback

  • Disc Playback: Insert a Blu-ray disc or CD into the disc tray. The player should automatically detect and begin playback or display a menu.
  • USB/Internal Storage Playback: Navigate to the 'Media' or 'USB' section using the front panel controls or remote. Select your desired file from the connected storage.
  • Network Playback (NFS/DLNA): Access the 'Network' or 'DLNA' option. Browse shared folders on your network to play media files.

8.3 Using the 7-inch Display

The front 7-inch display provides real-time information about playback, including track titles, elapsed time, and menu navigation. It can also mirror video content, allowing for operation without a main display.

8.4 Remote Control (App)

The AVPLAY CEN Grand 9i-AD can be controlled via a dedicated application on iPad, Android tablets, smartphones, or computers. Download the official AVPLAY remote control app from your device's app store. Ensure your control device and the player are connected to the same local network for the app to function.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Disc Care: Handle discs by their edges. Keep them clean and free of scratches. Store discs in their cases when not in use.

10. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your player, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the player and the power outlet.
    • Ensure the main power switch on the rear panel is in the ON position.
    • Test the power outlet with another device.
  • No Video Output:
    • Verify the HDMI cable is correctly connected to both the player and the display.
    • Ensure your TV/projector is set to the correct HDMI input source.
    • Try a different HDMI cable.
  • No Audio Output:
