OUPINKE G3186 Automatic Skeleton Watch User Manual

Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the OUPINKE G3186 Automatic Skeleton Watch. This timepiece features a self-winding mechanical movement, a skeleton dial design, and a durable tungsten steel strap. It includes multiple calendar functions and a luminous display for visibility in low light conditions.

The watch is designed for daily wear and is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM).

Setup and Initial Use

Winding the Watch

The OUPINKE G3186 is an automatic self-winding watch. It is powered by the natural motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or has not been worn for an extended period, it may require manual winding to initiate operation.

  • To manually wind, rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times while it is in its normal, pushed-in position.
  • The watch will then begin to operate. Continuous wear will keep the watch wound.

Setting Time and Date

The watch features a multi-function display including day of the week, date, month, and year. Refer to the image below for button identification.

  1. Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the outermost position. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Push the crown back in to start the time.
  2. Adjusting the Month: Use the 'Adjust month button' (labeled 1 in the diagram) to advance the month.
  3. Adjusting the Calendar Date: Use the 'Adjust calendar button' to change the date.
  4. Adjusting the Year: Use the button labeled 'Adjustment year' on the left side of the watch case.
  5. Adjusting the Week (Day of the Week): Use the button labeled 'Adjust the week' on the left side of the watch case.

Note: Avoid adjusting the date or day between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.

Operating Your Watch

Automatic Movement

The automatic movement of your OUPINKE G3186 watch is designed to wind itself through the natural motion of your arm. When worn regularly, the watch should maintain sufficient power reserve. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it may stop and require manual winding as described in the 'Setup' section.

Luminous Display

The watch features a luminous display on the hands and hour markers. This material absorbs light during the day and emits a glow in low-light conditions, enhancing readability.

Maintenance and Care

Water Resistance (5 ATM)

Your OUPINKE G3186 watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for daily use, such as handwashing, light rain, and brief immersion in water like swimming. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, hot water environments (e.g., hot showers, saunas), or prolonged underwater activities.

  • Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
  • Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.

Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch:

  • Wipe the case and strap with a soft, dry cloth regularly.
  • For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish.

Strap Care

The watch features a tungsten steel strap, known for its durability and scratch resistance. While robust, proper care will extend its lifespan and appearance.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running or Stopping Frequently: As an automatic watch, it requires sufficient movement to stay wound. If not worn for 8-10 hours a day, it may lose power. Manually wind the watch (30-40 clockwise turns of the crown) to restart it.
  • Time Inaccuracy: Automatic watches can have slight variations in timekeeping. If the inaccuracy is significant, ensure the watch is fully wound. Extreme temperatures or magnetic fields can also affect accuracy.
  • Condensation Inside Dial: If you notice condensation under the crystal, this indicates moisture ingress. Stop using the watch immediately and seek professional service to prevent further damage.
