Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your FIOS CR1000 Wireless Gateway:

  1. Placement: Choose a central location in your home, away from obstructions and other electronic devices that may cause interference.
  2. Connect Power: Connect the power cord to the router's DC jack and plug it into an electrical outlet. Wait for the indicator lights to stabilize.
  3. Connect to ONT (Optical Network Terminal): Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to the red WAN port on the back of the router and the other end to the Ethernet port on your FIOS Optical Network Terminal (ONT). If your service uses a coaxial connection, you may need to contact Verizon customer service to configure the modem for coaxial input instead of Ethernet.
  4. Connect Devices (Optional): For wired connections, connect your computers, gaming consoles, or other network devices to the yellow Ethernet LAN ports on the back of the router using Ethernet cables.
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi: On your wireless device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the network name (SSID) found on the label on the back of your router. Enter the Wi-Fi password (also found on the label) to connect.
  6. Access Router Settings: Open a web browser and navigate to the Network Settings URL provided on the router's label (e.g., mynetworksettings.com). Log in using the provided username and password to customize your network settings, such as changing the Wi-Fi name or password.
