Setup Instructions

Setting up your HEIMPLANET The CAVE V2 tent is quick and straightforward due to its inflatable design. Follow these steps for optimal setup:

  1. Unpack and Lay Out: Remove the tent from its pack sack and lay it flat on a clean, level surface. Ensure the inflatable frame is fully extended and not twisted.
  2. Connect Pump: Locate the main inflation valve on the inflatable frame. Attach the included pump adapter to your pump and connect it securely to the valve.
  3. Inflate the Frame: Begin inflating the tent frame. The Multi Chamber Safety System allows the entire frame to inflate simultaneously. Continue pumping until the frame is rigid and stands upright. Do not over-inflate.
  4. Secure the Tent: Once the frame is inflated, use the provided pegs to secure the tent to the ground. Utilize all available pegging points for maximum stability, especially in windy conditions.
  5. Adjust Guy Ropes: Extend and secure the guy ropes to further stabilize the tent. Adjust the tension as needed to ensure the tent is taut and resistant to wind.
  6. Inner Tent Setup (if separate): If your inner tent is not pre-attached, connect it to the designated attachment points inside the outer tent.

Operating the Tent

Your CAVE V2 tent is designed for ease of use and comfort in various conditions.

Ventilation

The tent features five closable ventilation points. Open these vents to improve airflow and reduce condensation, especially during warmer weather or when cooking inside the vestibule. Close them during cold or wet conditions to retain warmth and prevent water entry.

Storage

Utilize the sewn-in pockets inside the tent for organizing smaller items like phones, headlamps, or personal effects. The vestibule at the entrance provides space for shoes, cooking gear, or other equipment that you prefer to keep outside the main sleeping area but protected from the elements.

Disassembly

To deflate and pack away the tent:

  1. Remove Pegs and Guy Ropes: Detach all pegs and neatly coil the guy ropes.
  2. Open Deflation Valve: Locate the main inflation/deflation valve and open it fully to allow air to escape from the frame. You can gently press down on the frame to assist deflation.
  3. Fold and Roll: Once deflated, carefully fold the tent to expel any remaining air. Roll it tightly towards the valve to ensure all air is pushed out.
  4. Pack Away: Place the folded tent, pegs, repair kit, and pump adapter back into the pack sack.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your HEIMPLANET The CAVE V2 tent.

  • Cleaning: Clean the tent with a soft brush or sponge and mild soap (non-detergent) and lukewarm water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Drying: Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mildew and fabric degradation. Air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
  • Storage: Store the tent in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Repair Kit: The included repair kit can be used for minor punctures or tears in the fabric or inflatable frame. For significant damage, contact HEIMPLANET customer support.
