2. Safety Instructions
Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent personal injury or damage to the equipment.
- Read the Manual: Before operation, read and understand all instructions in this manual.
- Ventilation: Operate the pump in a well-ventilated area. Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, which is a dangerous gas.
- Fuel Handling: Handle gasoline with extreme care. It is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool.
- Hot Surfaces: The engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for a while after shutdown. Avoid contact.
- Electrical Safety: Do not operate the pump in wet conditions or near standing water to avoid electric shock.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the operating pump.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear appropriate PPE, such as gloves and eye protection, when handling fuel or performing maintenance.
- Oil Alert Sensor: The pump is equipped with an oil alert sensor to protect the engine. Do not bypass this safety feature.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Before Starting:
- Engine Oil: Check the engine oil level. Ensure it is at the recommended level using the dipstick. Use appropriate 4-stroke engine oil. The oil alert sensor will prevent starting if the oil level is too low.
- Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline. Do not overfill.
- Priming the Pump: Before starting, the pump casing must be filled with water through the priming port. This is crucial for the pump to create suction.
- Hose Connections: Ensure all hoses are securely connected and free of kinks or blockages.
