  • Always turn off the main water supply before beginning any installation or maintenance.
  • Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
  • Do not overtighten nuts or connections, as this can damage components.
  • Use appropriate tools and wear safety glasses during installation.
  • Keep batteries away from children. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • If you are unsure about any step, consult a qualified plumber.

6. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your AIMADI Touchless Kitchen Faucet:

  1. Prepare the Sink Area: Turn off the hot and cold water supply valves under the sink. Remove your old faucet. Clean the sink surface thoroughly.
  2. Install O-Ring: Insert the black O-ring into the groove on the bottom of the faucet base.
  3. Connect Water Hoses: Hand-tighten the hot and cold water supply hoses (6) onto the faucet (1). Refer to the instruction drawing to ensure correct hot and cold connections. Twist/thread each hose as close to the faucet base as possible.
  4. Mount the Faucet: Drop the hoses through the sink hole. From underneath the sink, thread the brass nut (4) onto the faucet base (1). The shorter threaded section should face the faucet. Hand-tighten.
  5. Secure the Faucet: Carefully position the faucet in the sink hole, ensuring the O-ring is centered. From underneath, slide the clear rubber washer (3), followed by the metal washer (not numbered in some diagrams), onto the threaded brass nut (4). Screw on the screw cap (5) until snug, but do not overtighten. Tighten the two set screws on the screw cap.
  6. Connect Supply Lines: Attach the braided hot and cold hoses to your corresponding hot and cold water supply lines. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection.
  7. Install Battery Box: Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the battery box. Connect the battery box cable to the faucet's control box. Secure the battery box in an accessible location under the sink.
  8. Install Gravity Ball: Attach the gravity ball to the pull-down hose under the sink. This helps the sprayer retract smoothly.
  9. Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the hot and cold water supply valves. Check all connections for leaks.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Touchless Operation

To use the touchless function, ensure the manual handle is in the 'ON' position (typically pointing forward or slightly to the side, allowing water flow). Wave your hand approximately 3 inches in front of the sensor located on the faucet body. The water will turn on. Wave your hand again to turn the water off. The faucet will automatically shut off after 3 minutes of continuous flow if no further hand motion is detected.

7.2. Manual Operation

To operate the faucet manually, simply use the single handle. Lift the handle to turn on the water and push it down to turn it off. Move the handle left for hot water and right for cold water. The manual handle overrides the sensor function when in the 'OFF' position.

7.3. Sprayer Function

The pull-down sprayer offers two modes: stream and spray. Press the button on the sprayhead to toggle between the aerated stream for filling and the powerful spray for rinsing. The sprayer will remain in the selected mode until changed again.

7.4. Switching Between Manual and Touchless Modes (Control Box)

If you wish to disable the touchless mode entirely and use only manual operation, or vice-versa, you can adjust the sensor control switch on the control box located under the sink. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to use the faucet in manual mode only. Turn the knob clockwise completely to use the faucet in sensor mode.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
  • Aerator Maintenance: If water flow decreases, the aerator may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator from the sprayhead, clean any debris, and rinse thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Battery Replacement: When the sensor function becomes inconsistent or stops working, it is likely time to replace the 4 AA batteries in the battery box. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
  • Hose Inspection: Periodically check the pull-down hose and supply lines for any signs of wear, kinks, or leaks.
