Setup

  1. Attaching Casters:

Carefully invert the vacuum drum. Insert the caster feet into the slots on the bottom of the drum. Apply firm, even pressure until each caster snaps securely into place. Some users find that applying a small amount of dish soap to the caster stems can ease insertion.

  2. Installing the Filter:

For dry vacuuming, ensure the Qwik Lock Pleated Paper Filter is properly installed over the filter cage. For wet vacuuming, remove the dry filter and install a foam wet filter (sold separately) or ensure the unit is configured for wet pickup without a dry filter.

  3. Connecting the Hose:

Insert the larger end of the 2-1/2 inch Dual-Flex Hose into the vacuum's inlet port on the front of the drum. Twist to lock it securely. Attach the desired extension wands and nozzle to the other end of the hose.

  4. Power Connection:

Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging in.

Operating Instructions

Dry Vacuuming:

Ensure the Qwik Lock Pleated Paper Filter is properly installed. Use the appropriate nozzle for the task. Turn the vacuum on using the large red switch. The powerful 6.5 Peak HP motor provides strong suction for various debris.

Wet Vacuuming:

Remove the dry filter before wet vacuuming. Install a foam wet filter (if desired, sold separately) or operate without a filter for liquid pickup. Use the wet nozzle for optimal performance. The oversized drain allows for quick and easy emptying of liquids from the tank.

Blower Function:

The rear blowing port allows the vacuum to function as a powerful blower. Attach the hose to the blowing port to direct high-speed exhaust air, useful for clearing leaves, grass clippings, or other light debris from surfaces.

Muffler/Diffuser:

The included muffler/diffuser can be connected to the blowing port to reduce operational noise without compromising suction power, enhancing user comfort during extended use.

Maintenance

Filter Maintenance:

Regularly check and clean the Qwik Lock Pleated Paper Filter for optimal performance. Tap off loose debris or rinse with water if heavily soiled (allow to dry completely before reinstallation). Replace filters when they show signs of wear or reduced efficiency. Compatible filters include CMXZVBE38751, CMXZVBE38753, CMXZVBE38754, CMXZVBE38773, CMXZVBE38755, CMXZVBE38776, CMXZVBE38777, CMXZVBE38778, and CMXZVBE38779.

Dust Bag Usage:

For fine dust collection, use a compatible dust collection bag. Compatible dust bags include CMXZVBE38749 and CMXZVBE38750.

Cleaning the Unit:

Wipe down the exterior of the vacuum with a damp cloth. Ensure the drum is clean and free of debris, especially after wet vacuuming, to prevent mold or odors.
