5. Operation
5.1 Meat and Vegetable Grinding
- Prepare meat by cutting it into small pieces (approximately 1-inch cubes) that fit easily into the feeding hopper. Remove any bones, gristle, or tough tendons. For vegetables, cut into appropriate sizes.
- Place a bowl or container under the grinding plate to collect the ground food.
- Feed the prepared food into the hopper.
- Turn the hand crank clockwise at a steady pace. Use the food pusher to gently guide the food into the auger. Do not force the food or use your fingers.
- Continue feeding and cranking until all food is processed.

5.2 Sausage Stuffing
- Prepare your sausage mixture.
- Slide the casing onto the sausage stuffing tube, gathering it at the base. Leave a small amount of casing hanging off the end to tie later.
- Feed the sausage mixture into the hopper.
- Turn the hand crank clockwise at a slow, consistent speed. The mixture will push into the casing.
- As the casing fills, gently guide it off the tube, ensuring it fills evenly without air pockets. Do not overfill.
- Once the desired length is achieved, tie off the ends of the sausage.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and hygienic operation of your meat grinder.
- Disassembly: After each use, disassemble the grinder by reversing the assembly steps.
- Initial Rinse: Rinse all parts under warm running water to remove any large food particles.
- Washing: Wash all components with warm, soapy water. Use a brush to clean hard-to-reach areas and ensure all food residue is removed from the grinding plate and cutter blade. The aluminum alloy body and metal parts are designed to be dishwasher safe.
- Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Drying: Dry all parts immediately and completely with a soft cloth to prevent water spots or potential oxidation. Air drying is not recommended for metal parts.
- Storage: Store the clean, dry parts in a safe place.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Asixxsix Manual Meat Grinder, consider the following:
- Difficulty Grinding: Ensure meat is cut into small, manageable pieces and free of bones or excessive sinew. Do not overfill the hopper. Check that the cutter blade is installed correctly with the sharp edge facing outwards.
- Grinder Wobbles: Re-tighten the tabletop clamp. Ensure the surface is flat and stable.
- Food Not Coming Out Smoothly: Verify that all parts are correctly assembled and tightened. Ensure the grinding plate is not clogged.
- Unusual Noises: Disassemble and inspect all moving parts for any obstructions or incorrect assembly. Ensure the auger rotates freely.
