1. Introduction

The YUNCHI Waterproof Extra Wide Leg Cast Cover is designed to provide a watertight seal, protecting casts, bandages, wounds, and splints on the leg and foot during showering. This manual provides essential information for safe and effective use.

2. Safety Information

  • Due to the potential risk of choking and suffocation, children should use this product under parental supervision.
  • Made for therapeutic showering and bathing only. Not for sustained or vigorous water activities like diving.
  • Keep away from fire and forbid drying from the dryer.
  • Please air-dry in the shade between uses to maintain elasticity.
  • Please use cautiously when walking on wet surfaces in case of slipperiness.
  • Do not wear the cover for longer than 20 minutes to avoid cutting off blood circulation with extended wear.

This XL-Extra Wide model features a widened hard ring diameter of 9.5 inches and a center hole diameter of 3.7 inches. It fits calf circumferences from 13 to 28 inches. The overall length of the cover is 23 inches.

5. Usage Instructions

5.1. Preparation

  1. Before initial use, perform a waterproof test after wearing the cast cover to ensure it does not leak before bathing or showering.

5.2. Applying the Cast Cover

  1. Expand the Silicone Hole: Gently stretch the silicone opening to create enough space for your leg.

  2. Slowly Extend Your Leg: Carefully insert your leg into the cover, guiding your foot and cast through the expanded silicone hole. Ensure the cast or bandage does not snag on the silicone.

  3. Adjust the Sealing Ring: Once your leg is fully inside, adjust the white sealing ring to fit snugly against your skin, just below the knee. This creates the watertight seal.

5.3. During Use

  1. Safely Take a Bath or Shower: With the cast cover securely in place, you can now safely shower or bathe without wetting your cast or wound.

5.4. Removal and Drying

  1. Remove the Cover: Gently stretch the silicone opening again and slide the cover off your leg.
  2. Drying: Use the provided S-hook to hang the cast cover in the shower or a well-ventilated area to air-dry. Ensure it is completely dry before storing.

6. Care & Maintenance

  • After each use, rinse the cast cover with clean water.
  • Air-dry the cover in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight or using a dryer, as this can damage the material and reduce its elasticity.
  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

7. Important Considerations

  • Always ensure the cast cover forms a complete watertight seal before entering the shower or bath.
  • Do not submerge the entire leg and cover in water for extended periods.
  • If you experience any discomfort, numbness, or changes in skin color while wearing the cover, remove it immediately.
