4.2 Physical Installation

  1. Mark Bracket Positions: Choose appropriate spots for the two brackets and mark them with a pencil. We suggest marking at 1/3 and 2/3 of the total length of the shade.
  2. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked spots.
  3. Install Trim Panel Bracket: Securely install the trim panel bracket.
  4. Hook Headrail: Hook the headrail of the shade into the front of the bracket, then rotate the headrail until the back of it securely snaps into place.
  5. Install Valance: Attach the valance to complete the installation.

4.3 Remote Control Pairing and Limit Setting

  1. Emitter Quick Matching:
    • Press the motor "M" button for 2 seconds. The motor will rotate back and forth once, indicating it has entered matching state.
    • On the remote, select the desired channel.
    • Set the switch to "admin" mode.
    • Long press the "S" button for 2 seconds. The motor will rotate back and forth once, confirming successful matching.
  2. Setting Upper Limits:
    • Use the remote's up button to move the shade to the desired upper travel point. The uplink key can switch between continuous and inching operation for precise positioning.
    • Long press the "S" button for 2 seconds. The motor will rotate once, and the upper limit is set.
  3. Setting Lower Limits:
    • Use the remote's down button to move the shade to the desired lower travel point. The downlink key can switch between continuous and inching operation for precise positioning.
    • Long press the "S" button for 2 seconds. The motor will rotate once, and the lower limit is set.
  4. Switch to User Mode: After setting limits, switch the remote to "user" mode for normal operation.

4.4 Smart Bridge and App/Voice Control Setup (Optional)

  1. Install Tuya App: Download the Tuya Smart app from your device's app store. Log in or create an account and authorize necessary permissions (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
  2. Add Smart Bridge:
    • Plug in the Smart Bridge.
    • Hold down the Smart Bridge button for 5 seconds until the indicator light blinks.
    • In the Tuya app, tap "+" to add a device. The app should detect the Smart Bridge. If not, unplug and replug the bridge and try again.
    • Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network information (5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported).
    • Once added, the Smart Bridge will appear in your device list.
  3. Add MANSNIX Blinds to App:
    • In the Tuya app, select the Smart Bridge, then tap "Add".
    • Before clicking "Confirm" in the app, hold down the button on the right side of the shade until it rotates once.
    • Click "Confirm" in the app. If the shade responds, save the remote control.
    • You can now control the shade via the app. You can rename each shade and adjust motor direction (forward/reverse) if needed.
  4. Connect with Alexa/Google Assistant:
    • In the Tuya app, go to the Smart Bridge settings and find the Alexa or Google Assistant link entry under "Third-party Control".
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to link your Tuya Smart account with your Alexa or Google Assistant account.
    • Once linked, your MANSNIX shades will appear in the Alexa or Google Home app, allowing for voice control.
    • You can assign shades to different rooms or groups within the Alexa/Google Home app for collective control (e.g., "Alexa, open my bedroom blinds").

The remote control allows direct operation of your shades. Ensure the remote is in "user" mode for normal use.
