Setup
Battery Installation
The Meter D requires one CR1632 button battery for operation.
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the meter.
- Insert one CR1632 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Securely close the battery compartment cover.

Mounting to Camera
The Meter D is designed to slide into your camera's accessory shoe (hot shoe).
- Gently slide the Meter D's shoe mount into your camera's accessory shoe.
- Ensure it is seated firmly and securely.

Adjusting Shoe Mount Position
The shoe mount can be adjusted to two positions (left or center) to accommodate various camera designs.
- Unscrew the two small screws on the underside of the meter that secure the shoe mount.
- Carefully reposition the shoe mount to the desired slot (left or center).
- Re-tighten the screws to secure the mount firmly.

Operating Instructions
Setting ISO
Rotate the left dial to set the ISO sensitivity to match the film or sensor ISO you are using. The available ISO range is 25-6400.
Note: Due to the compact dial size, some intermediate ISO values are indicated by a dot (.). Refer to the specifications section for a full list of supported values.

Taking a Reading
Point the meter towards your subject to measure the light. The meter uses reflective metering with an average 30° metering range.
Adjust the aperture (left dial) and shutter speed (right dial) until the central green indicator light illuminates, signifying correct exposure.

Understanding Indicator Lights
The Meter D uses a series of LEDs to indicate exposure status:
- Green Light: Accurate exposure.
- Red Light (left) + Green Light (center): Overexposure by half a stop.
- Red Light (left): Overexposure.
- Green Light (center) + Red Light (right): Underexposure by half a stop.
- Red Light (right): Underexposure.
