4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Battery

4.2 Initial Inspection
Before each use, inspect the pruning shears for any signs of damage, loose parts, or dull blades. Ensure all safety features are functioning correctly.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Turning On/Off
To turn on the pruning shears, slide the main power switch to the 'ON' position. To activate the blades, you must simultaneously press both the main trigger and the safety switch. Release both to stop operation. To turn off the tool completely, slide the main power switch to the 'OFF' position.
5.2 Pruning Technique
Position the open blades around the branch you wish to cut. Ensure the branch diameter does not exceed the maximum cutting capacity of 16mm (0.63 inches). Press the double safety switches to make a clean cut. For optimal results and to prolong blade life, avoid twisting the tool during a cut.

5.3 Ergonomics and Handling
The lightweight design (approximately 1.81 lbs) and ergonomic handle minimize strain during extended use. Hold the tool firmly with both hands if necessary for larger branches within the cutting capacity. The tool is ambidextrous for comfortable use by both left and right-handed individuals.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pruning shears.
- Clean Blades: After each use, ensure the tool is off and the blade lock is engaged. Clean the blades with a damp cloth to remove sap and debris. For stubborn residue, use a specialized blade cleaner.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a light machine oil to the blade pivot point to ensure smooth operation.
- Blade Sharpening: If blades become dull, they can be sharpened by a professional or with appropriate sharpening tools. Always ensure the tool is disconnected from power and blades are locked before sharpening.
- Storage: Store the pruning shears in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Engage the blade lock for safety.
