1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the BOMOVA Heated Electric Blanket. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use, setup, operation, and maintenance of your new electric blanket. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

2. Important Safety Information

  • Always disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet when the blanket is not in use.
  • Do not use this blanket with an infant, a child, an incapacitated person, a paraplegic, a quadriplegic, a diabetic, anyone insensitive to heat, or anyone who cannot clearly understand the instructions.
  • Avoid folding, creasing, or bunching the blanket during use, as this can cause overheating.
  • Do not use pins or other metallic objects with this blanket. They may damage the electrical wiring.
  • The blanket features an Overheat Protection system that automatically shuts off power if it detects unsafe temperatures.
  • Before cleaning, always unplug the controller from the blanket and the wall outlet, and allow it to cool completely.

4. Setup Instructions

  3. Position the Blanket: Spread the blanket evenly over your bed or desired surface. Ensure there are no folds, creases, or bunched areas.
  4. Plug into Power: Insert the power plug into a standard 110-120V AC electrical wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Press the power button on the digital display controller to turn on the blanket. The display will illuminate, showing the default temperature and timer settings.
  2. Adjust Temperature: Use the temperature control button (often marked with a thermometer icon) to cycle through the 10 available heat levels (L1 to H9, or 86°F to 113°F). Select your desired warmth level.
  3. Set Timer: Use the timer button (often marked with a clock icon) to select the automatic shut-off duration. Options typically range from 1 to 8 hours. The blanket will turn off automatically after the selected time.
  4. Power Off: Press the power button again to turn off the blanket. The display will turn off.

6. Maintenance and Care

Proper care ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric blanket.

  • Before Washing: Always disconnect the controller(s) from the blanket and the wall outlet. Allow the blanket and controller to cool completely.
  • Machine Washing: Wash on a gentle cycle with cold water. Do not bleach.
  • Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Ensure the blanket is completely dry before reconnecting the controller or storing. Do not iron.
  • Storage: Store the blanket in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding tightly or placing heavy objects on it, which could damage the internal wiring.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power/Not Heating: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the blanket and a working electrical outlet. Check if the outlet is functional by plugging in another appliance.
