3. Safety Information
Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the pump:
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the power source matches the pump's voltage (12V DC). Always disconnect power before performing any installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
- Liquid Compatibility: This pump is designed for water and weakly acidic liquids. DO NOT PUMP FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS such as gasoline, kerosene, ethanol, or similar substances. Pumping flammable liquids can cause fire or explosion.
- Temperature Limits: Do not operate the pump in environments exceeding its specified temperature limits. The pump has thermal overload protection, but prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause damage.
- Proper Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the pump during operation to prevent overheating.
- Secure Installation: Mount the pump securely to prevent vibration and movement during operation.
- Water Quality: Use a strainer on the inlet side to prevent debris from entering the pump, which can cause damage or reduce performance.

5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Mounting: Choose a dry, well-ventilated location for the pump. Securely mount the pump using appropriate fasteners through the mounting feet. Ensure the pump is installed in a position that allows for easy access for maintenance and connection.
- Inlet Connection: Connect the water source to the pump's inlet port. It is highly recommended to install the provided strainer on the inlet line to prevent debris from entering the pump. The pump features 1/2" NPT external pipe threads.
- Outlet Connection: Connect the desired output hose or plumbing to the pump's outlet port.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the pump to a 12V DC power source. Ensure correct polarity: red wire to positive (+), black wire to negative (-). Use appropriate gauge wiring for the current draw (15.3 Max amps). It is advisable to install an inline fuse for circuit protection.
- Priming: The pump is self-priming up to 9.8 feet. Ensure the inlet line is submerged in water before initial operation to facilitate priming.

6. Operating Instructions
Operating your ECO-WORTHY pump is straightforward:
- Initial Start-up: Once all connections are secure and the pump is properly primed, apply 12V DC power. The pump will begin to run.
- On-Demand Operation: The pump features an automatic pressure switch. It will turn on when water demand is detected (e.g., opening a faucet) and turn off when the demand ceases and pressure builds up (e.g., closing a faucet).
- Adjusting Pressure: The pump's pressure switch is adjustable within the range of 45-75 PSI. To adjust, locate the adjustment screw on the pressure switch (refer to Figure 3 for location). Use an Allen wrench to turn the screw:
- Turn clockwise to increase the cut-off pressure.
- Turn counter-clockwise to decrease the cut-off pressure.
- Continuous Use: The pump is designed for continuous operation for over an hour. However, prolonged dry running should be avoided, although the pump is designed to withstand it.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your pump:
- Strainer Cleaning: Periodically inspect and clean the inlet strainer to remove any accumulated debris. A clogged strainer can reduce flow and put strain on the pump.
- Connection Check: Regularly check all hose and electrical connections for leaks or corrosion. Tighten loose connections as needed.
- Winterization (if applicable): If the pump is used in an environment where temperatures drop below freezing, ensure it is drained completely or winterized with RV antifreeze to prevent damage from freezing water.
- General Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the pump clean and free from dirt and grime.
8. Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common issues and their solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not run. | No power, loose wiring, blown fuse, thermal overload, faulty switch. | Check power supply and connections. Inspect fuse. Allow pump to cool if thermal overload. Check pressure switch. |
| Low flow or pressure. | Clogged strainer, air leak in inlet line, low voltage, kinked hose, worn diaphragm. | Clean inlet strainer. Check all inlet connections for air leaks. Verify 12V supply. Straighten hoses. |
| Pump cycles on and off rapidly (pulsing). | Pressure switch setting too high, small leak in system, restricted flow on outlet. | Adjust pressure switch counter-clockwise to decrease cut-off pressure. Check for leaks in plumbing. Ensure outlet is not overly restricted. |
| Pump runs but no water. | No water in source, air lock, pump not primed, clogged inlet. | Ensure water source is available. Bleed air from system. Verify inlet line is submerged and clear. |
