4. Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of the water dispenser pump. Ensure the water dispenser is unplugged and drained before beginning.

1. Access the Old Pump: Locate and access the existing water pump within your water dispenser. This may require removing panels or covers.
2. Disconnect Water Lines: Carefully disconnect the water inlet and outlet lines from the old pump. Note their orientation. For quick-connect fittings, press the collar in while pulling the tube out.
3. Disconnect Electrical Wiring: Disconnect the electrical wiring from the old pump. If the old pump is hard-wired, you may need to cut the wires and use the provided heat shrink tube for a secure connection with the new pump's wiring.
4. Remove Old Pump: Unscrew and remove the old pump from its mounting location.
5. Mount New Pump: Position the new Qiangsens pump in the same location. Use the provided screws to secure it. The soft rubber mounting base helps reduce vibration and noise.
6. Connect Water Lines: Connect the 1/4" RO water pipe and quick connection elbows to the inlet and outlet ports of the new pump. Ensure a secure, leak-free connection. The pump's inlet and outlet are clearly marked.
7. Connect Electrical Wiring: Connect the new pump's electrical wiring. If splicing, ensure a proper, insulated connection using the heat shrink tube. Observe correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative).
8. Test for Leaks: Before reassembling the dispenser, plug it in and allow it to draw water. Carefully inspect all connections for any leaks.
9. Reassemble: Once confirmed leak-free, reassemble any panels or covers removed during installation.

5. Operation

Once installed and connected, the Qiangsens DC 12V Water Dispenser Pump operates automatically as part of your water dispenser system. It is designed to draw water from a source (e.g., a bottom-loaded water bottle) and deliver it to the dispenser's internal reservoir or tap.

• The pump will activate when the water level in the dispenser's reservoir drops below a certain point.
• The self-priming feature allows the pump to draw water even if there is air in the suction line, up to 1.3 meters.
• The built-in pressure switch protects the pump by automatically shutting it off if the pressure exceeds 35 PSI (2.4 BAR), preventing damage.
