5.1. Using the NT800 Rivet Nut Tool

The NT800 is designed for installing threaded rivet nuts with an innovative auto-release system.

  1. Prepare the Hole: Drill a hole in the workpiece suitable for the chosen rivet nut. Ensure the hole size matches the rivet nut's specifications.
  2. Attach Rivet Nut: Open the handles of the NT800 tool and screw the rivet nut onto the mandrel until it is fully seated.
  3. Insert into Workpiece: Insert the rivet nut into the prepared hole in the workpiece.
  4. Deform Rivet Nut: Close the handles of the tool firmly and continuously to deform the rivet nut until it is securely fastened to the workpiece. The tool's leverage system assists in this process.
