4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Remote

The RF071 has a built-in 3.7V/360mAh lithium battery. To charge, connect the included USB charging cable to the remote's charging port and a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours and provides up to 12 hours of continuous use. The LED indicator will show charging status.

4.2 Connecting the Receiver

The remote uses a 2.4GHz wireless connection via a dual USB-A and USB-C receiver. Locate the receiver stored in the base of the remote. Insert the appropriate end (USB-A or USB-C) into an available USB port on your computer. The device is plug-and-play; no additional software installation or drivers are required.

5.1 Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the side of the remote. Slide it to the 'On' position to activate the device. The LED indicator will light up. Slide it to 'Off' when not in use to conserve battery.

5.2 Basic Button Functions

  • Laser Button: Press the button with the sun icon to activate the red laser pointer. Release to turn off.
  • Page Up (^): Press the top arrow button to advance to the next slide or page in your presentation.
  • Page Down (v): Press the bottom arrow button to return to the previous slide or page.
  • Full Screen / ESC: Press the button with the square icon (often above Page Up) to enter or exit full-screen presentation mode.
  • Black Screen / ESC: Press the button with the blank screen icon (often below Page Down) to black out the screen during a presentation. Press again to resume.
  • Hyperlink: Press and hold the hyperlink button (often represented by a chain link icon) to activate hyperlink functionality within your presentation software.
  • Volume Control: Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons located on the side of the remote to adjust audio output.

5.3 Program Switching

When not in an active presentation, the remote can be used to switch between open applications on your computer, functioning as a mouse alternative for basic navigation.

6. Maintenance
