What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your KEF LSX II system, please ensure all the following components are present:

• 1 Pair LSX II Speakers (Primary and Secondary)

Setup

1. Speaker Placement

For optimal sound performance, place the speakers equidistant from your primary listening position, forming an equilateral triangle. Ensure there is adequate space around each speaker for proper ventilation and sound dispersion. The LSX II speakers are designed for tabletop use but can also be mounted on stands or walls with compatible accessories.

2. Connecting the Speakers

The LSX II system consists of a primary speaker and a secondary speaker. You can connect them wirelessly or via the supplied interspeaker cable for higher resolution audio.

• Wired Connection (Recommended for best performance): Connect the supplied Ethernet cable between the "TO P/S" port on the primary speaker and the "TO P/S" port on the secondary speaker.
• Wireless Connection: If you prefer a wireless interspeaker connection, ensure both speakers are powered on and within range. You can configure this setting via the KEF Connect app.

3. Power Connection

Connect the power cords to the AC input on the rear of each speaker, then plug them into a wall outlet.

4. Initial Setup with KEF Connect App

Download the KEF Connect app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your LSX II speakers to your Wi-Fi network and complete the initial setup. The app allows you to control settings, access streaming services, and manage firmware updates.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press the power button on the rear of the primary speaker or use the KEF Connect app to turn the speakers on or off.

2. Input Selection

The LSX II supports multiple input sources:

• HDMI ARC: Connect to your TV for high-quality audio.
• USB-C: Connect to a computer or other compatible device.
• Optical: For digital audio sources.
• Aux (3.5mm): For analog audio sources.
• Bluetooth: Pair with your mobile devices.
• Wi-Fi/Network: Access built-in streaming services (Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, QQ Music) or stream via AirPlay 2, Chromecast, or Roon.

Select your desired input using the remote control or the KEF Connect app.

3. Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the remote control, the KEF Connect app, or the volume controls on your connected source device.

4. Streaming Services

Utilize the KEF Connect app to log into and control integrated streaming services. For multi-room audio, use AirPlay 2 or Chromecast to synchronize playback across compatible devices.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Gently wipe the speaker surfaces with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or sprays directly on the speakers.
• Dust Protection: Keep the speakers free from dust accumulation, especially around the drivers and rear ports, to maintain optimal sound quality.
• Ventilation: Ensure the rear ports are not obstructed to allow for proper airflow and prevent overheating.
• Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the speakers to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
