  • Do not block ventilation openings. Maintain adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.
  • Connect to a grounded power outlet only. Do not use extension cords or ungrounded adapters.
  • Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Do not allow children to operate or play with the appliance.
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning or performing any maintenance.

Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the humidor from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Retain packaging materials for future transport if needed.

2. Placement

Place the humidor in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Ensure there is at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) of space around the back and sides for proper air circulation. The unit features adjustable feet to ensure stability on uneven surfaces.

3. Initial Power-On

After placement, wait at least 2 hours before plugging the unit into a grounded electrical outlet. This allows the refrigerant to settle. Once plugged in, the control panel will illuminate.

4. Seasoning the Cedar Wood Shelves

The cedar wood shelves and drawers require seasoning to prevent them from absorbing moisture from your cigars. This process typically takes 7-14 days.

  1. Remove all shelves and drawers from the humidor.
  2. Wipe down the interior walls and cedar components with a clean cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Do not saturate the wood.
  3. Place a shallow dish of distilled water inside the humidor.
  4. Close the door and allow the humidor to run for 7-14 days, maintaining the desired humidity level (60-80%).
  5. Monitor the internal humidity with the digital hygrometer. Once stable, the humidor is ready for cigar storage.

Temperature Control

The temperature can be set between 53°F and 64°F (12°C-18°C). Use the 'Adjust Temperature Higher' and 'Adjust Temperature Lower' buttons to set your preferred temperature. The built-in fan ensures even temperature distribution throughout the cabinet.

Humidity Control

The humidor maintains humidity between 60% to 80%. To humidify, add distilled water to the sink/moisture container located at the bottom of the unit. The system will automatically regulate the humidity. The Spanish cedar wood also assists in humidity regulation.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Humidor

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Interior: For the interior, use a clean cloth lightly dampened with distilled water. Do not use soap or chemical cleaners, as these can affect the cigar aroma.
  • Door Seal: The door seam is detachable for easy cleaning. Regularly clean the door gasket to ensure a tight seal and prevent moisture loss.

Refilling the Water Reservoir

Regularly check the water level in the moisture container. Refill with distilled water as needed to maintain the desired humidity level. Do not use tap water, as it can leave mineral deposits and affect humidity control.

Cedar Wood Care

The Spanish cedar wood shelves and drawers are crucial for cigar aging. Avoid using any cleaning agents on them. If they appear dry, a light wipe with a distilled water-dampened cloth can help re-season them.
