FEKOTS 35T1 Ceiling Fan Remote Control Instruction Manual

Model: 35T1

1. Important Notes Before Use

This product is a replacement remote control only and does not include a receiver or a 12V "A23" battery. This remote control is designed for specific ceiling fan models and does not feature a reverse button.

To ensure compatibility, verify the part number on the back of your original remote. It must match one of the FCC ID/model numbers listed in the compatibility section. If your original remote's part number is not listed, this replacement remote may not function correctly, even if it appears similar.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Battery Installation

The remote requires one 12V "A23" battery (not included). To install, slide open the battery cover on the back of the remote and insert the battery, observing the correct polarity.

4.2. Setting DIP Codes (If original remote is available)

If you have your old remote control, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the DIP switches inside the battery compartment of your old remote. These are typically small switches labeled 1, 2, 3, 4.
  2. Open the battery cover of your new FEKOTS 35T1 remote.
  3. Slide the DIP switches on the new remote to match the exact pattern (ON/OFF positions) of the switches on your original remote.
  4. Replace the battery in the new remote and close the cover. The remote should now be paired with your fan's receiver.

4.3. Pairing with LEARN Button (If original remote is lost or receiver is FAN30R)

If your receiver is a FAN30R model, or if you do not have the original remote to match DIP codes, you can use the LEARN button method:

  1. Disconnect power to the ceiling fan at the circuit breaker or by turning off the electrical box switch.
  2. Restore power to the ceiling fan.
  3. Within 30 seconds of restoring power, press and hold the "LEARN" button on the new remote control. The ceiling fan light should flash to indicate successful pairing.

Note: If your receiver is FAN18R, FAN28R, UC7067FMRX, or another compatible receiver that has DIP switches, you must set the same DIP codes on both the transmitter and receiver as described in section 4.2.

  • Press the High button for maximum fan speed.
  • Press the Medium button for moderate fan speed.
  • Press the Low button for minimum fan speed.
  • Press the OFF button to turn the fan off.

5.2. Light Control and Dimmer

The central light button controls the ceiling fan's light fixture.

  • A short press of the light button will turn the light ON or OFF.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

When the remote control's range decreases or its indicator light dims, it is time to replace the 12V "A23" battery. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote, remove the old battery, and insert a new one, ensuring correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
    • Check if the 12V "A23" battery is installed correctly and has sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
    • Verify that the DIP switches on the remote match those on your fan's receiver (if applicable).
    • Ensure the remote is within range of the receiver.
    • If using the LEARN button method, ensure power was cycled and the button was pressed within 30 seconds.
  • Light dimmer not working for LED/CFL bulbs:
    • Confirm that the LED or CFL bulbs installed are explicitly labeled as "dimmable." Non-dimmable bulbs will only respond to ON/OFF commands.
  • Fan operates but light does not, or vice versa:
    • Ensure all wiring connections to the receiver and fan/light fixture are secure.
    • Check the light bulb for proper installation and functionality.
