1. Introduction

The Vibeat Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is a portable, non-invasive device designed for spot-check measurement of functional oxygen saturation of arterial hemoglobin (SpO2) and pulse rate (PR). It features advanced photoplethysmograph technology for high-precision and reliable readings.

This device is intended for sports and aviation use only. It is not a medical device and should not be used for diagnosing or treating any medical condition.

2. Important Safety Information

Please read all safety information carefully before using the device. Failure to follow these instructions can lead to inaccurate readings or device damage.

  • This product is intended for sports and aviation use only. It is not a medical device and should not be used to diagnose or treat any medical condition.
  • Do not use the Oximeter if it is visibly damaged.
  • Avoid using the device in environments with flammable gases or anesthetic agents.
  • Do not use the Oximeter in an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or CT (Computed Tomography) environment.
  • The Oximeter is not a treatment device.
  • Dispose of the device according to local regulations and keep it out of reach of children.
  • Keep the device away from dust, vibration, corrosive substances, explosive materials, high temperature, and moisture.
  • If the device will not be used for more than 7 days, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • This device is not intended for continuous monitoring.

4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Insert two AAA size batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: If the device will not be used for an extended period (more than 7 days), please remove the batteries to prevent potential damage from leakage.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Taking a Measurement

  1. Open the clamp of the oximeter.
  2. Insert one of your fingers (preferably the index finger) fully into the rubber opening of the oximeter, ensuring the nail is facing upwards.
  3. Release the clamp. The device will automatically turn on and begin measurement.
  4. Keep your hand still during the measurement. Readings for SpO2, Pulse Rate (PR), and Perfusion Index (PI) will appear on the OLED screen within a few seconds.
  5. The device will automatically turn off approximately 8 seconds after removing your finger.

The device automatically powers on when a finger is inserted and powers off when removed, simplifying the measurement process.

5.2. Spot Check Mode

After 30 seconds of stable measurement, the pulse rhythm analysis result will be displayed on the screen. This mode provides a quick assessment of your pulse rhythm. The device can also be adjusted to a continuous monitoring mode if desired.

In Spot Check Mode, the oximeter provides a quick analysis of pulse rhythm after 30 seconds of stable measurement, indicating if any irregularities are detected.

5.3. Warning Function

The oximeter features a warning function. If your blood oxygen saturation or pulse rate falls below or rises above preset thresholds, the device will alert you with a buzzer sound, and the corresponding reading will flash on the screen.

The oximeter allows users to set custom high and low thresholds for SpO2 and Pulse Rate, triggering an alarm if readings fall outside these ranges.

When SpO2 or pulse rate readings exceed or fall below preset thresholds, the oximeter provides an audible beep and flashing display to alert the user.

5.4. Built-in Memory

The device can store up to 12 groups of SpO2 and PR records. These records can be browsed directly on the device's screen, allowing you to track your measurements over time.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.1. Cleaning the Device

To clean the oximeter, use a soft cloth dampened with 75% medical alcohol. Gently wipe the surface of the device. Do not immerse the device in water or any other cleaning solutions.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or sterilize the device by irradiation, steam, or ethylene oxide.

6.2. Storage

Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.

7. Troubleshooting
