3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Keyboard

The AK992 keyboard is equipped with a 4000mAh rechargeable battery. To charge, connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to a power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter). The keyboard can be used while charging.

3.2 Connectivity Modes

The keyboard supports three connection modes: 2.4G wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB-C wired. A 3-mode toggle switch located on the left side of the keyboard allows for quick switching between these modes.

3.2.1 USB-C Wired Mode

1. Connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard and your computer.
2. Set the toggle switch on the left side of the keyboard to the 'Wired' position.
3. The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your computer.

3.2.2 2.4G Wireless Mode

1. Locate the 2.4G USB receiver, typically stored in a hidden compartment on the right side of the keyboard.
2. Plug the 2.4G USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.

4.1 Volume Knob

The integrated volume knob provides convenient audio control:

5. Customization

5.1 Hot-Swappable Switches

The AK992 features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to easily change mechanical switches without soldering. It is compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin switches. This enables you to customize the typing feel and sound to your preference.

1. Use the provided switch puller to carefully remove existing switches.
2. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB.
3. Gently press the new switch into place until it clicks securely. Ensure pins are not bent.
