Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the Generic replacement remote control, model AH59-02533A. This remote is designed to operate various Samsung Blu-Ray and Home Theater systems without the need for programming. Simply install batteries, and it is ready for use.

Setup: Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open.
3. Insert two (2) 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: No programming or pairing is required for this remote control. Once batteries are installed, it is ready for immediate use with compatible devices.

Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at your Samsung Blu-Ray player or Home Theater system. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the device's infrared receiver.

Key Functions:

• Power (⏻): Turns the device on or off.
• Volume (+/-): Adjusts the audio volume.
• Mute (🔇): Mutes or unmutes the audio.
• Function: Cycles through input functions.
• Number Buttons (0-9): For direct input of track numbers, channels, or menu selections.
• Disc Menu: Accesses the main menu of a Blu-Ray disc.
• Title Menu: Accesses the title menu of a disc.
• Popup: Displays a pop-up menu.
• Subtitle: Toggles subtitle display.
• Home: Returns to the main home screen or menu.
• Tools: Accesses various tools or settings.
• Return: Goes back to the previous screen or menu.
• Info: Displays information about the current content.
• Exit: Exits the current menu or function.
• Navigation Buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right, Enter): Used to navigate menus and make selections.
• Play/Pause (⏸), Stop (⏹), Fast Forward (⏩), Rewind (⏪), Skip Forward (⏭), Skip Backward (⏮): Standard media playback controls.
• Repeat: Toggles repeat playback modes.
• Color Buttons (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue): Used for specific functions within menus or applications, as indicated on-screen.
• TV Sound DSP/EQ: Adjusts sound processing or equalizer settings.
• Tuner MO/ST: For tuner mode/stereo settings.
• Tuning Up/Down: Adjusts tuner frequency.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement:

Replace batteries when the remote control's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Cleaning:

To clean the remote control, wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, sprays, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
  • Replace the batteries with new ones.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the device's infrared sensor.
  • Make sure you are pointing the remote directly at the device.
• Certain buttons not working:
  • This remote is designed for specific Samsung Blu-Ray and Home Theater functions. Some buttons may not be applicable or fully functional with all compatible models or specific device menus.
  • Ensure the device you are trying to control is powered on and in the correct input mode.
