Setting Your Combination

Follow these steps to set or reset your personal 4-digit combination. The default combination is typically 0-0-0-0.

1. Step 1: Align the 4 number wheels to the current combination. If this is your first time using the lock, set the dials to the default code 0-0-0-0. Ensure the numbers are centered with the indicator line on the right narrow side of the lock.
2. Step 2: With the shackle in the up position, rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise until it aligns with the reset slot.
3. Step 3: Push the shackle down firmly until the small reset pin is fully seated in the slot.
4. Step 4: While holding the shackle down, turn the dials to set your desired personal 4-digit combination. Make sure each number is fully centered in the window.
5. Step 5: Pull up the shackle and rotate it 90 degrees clockwise or a quarter turn to return to the starting position.
6. Step 6: Scramble the number wheels to ensure the new combination is set and the old combination no longer unlocks the lock. Test your new combination to confirm it unlocks properly.

Operating Instructions

To operate your Vervida combination lock:

1. To Unlock: Rotate the dials to your set 4-digit combination. Once the correct combination is aligned, pull up on the shackle to open the lock.
2. To Lock: Close the shackle by pushing it down into the lock body. Scramble the numbers on the dials to secure the lock.

Maintenance

Your Vervida combination lock is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance.

• Cleaning: Wipe the lock periodically with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.

Troubleshooting

• Lock will not open with correct combination:
  • Ensure all numbers are perfectly aligned with the indicator line.
  • Verify that the shackle is fully pulled up before attempting to rotate it for resetting.
  • If the lock was recently reset, double-check that you are using the new combination.
• Difficulty turning dials:
  • Clean the dials to remove any debris.
  • Apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the dial mechanism.
• Forgot combination:
  • Unfortunately, if the combination is forgotten and not recorded, there is no master key or backdoor to open the lock. The lock will need to be replaced.
