5. Operating Instructions

The Black+Decker PC700-B2 offers two power levels for versatile cooking.

  3. Connect Power: Plug the appliance into a 220V electrical outlet.
  4. Select Power Level: Turn the control knob to your desired power setting:

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your appliance.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  3. Clean Heating Base: Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating base in water or any other liquid. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
  4. Storage: Store the clean and dry appliance in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your appliance, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Appliance does not turn on:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a 220V outlet.
    • Check if the control knob is set to a power level (I or II), not 'O' (Off).
    • Verify that the pan is correctly seated on the heating base. The automatic shut-off feature prevents operation if the pan is not in place.
    • Check your household circuit breaker or fuse box.
  • Food is not cooking evenly or taking too long:
    • Ensure the control knob is set to the appropriate power level (II for higher heat).
    • Make sure the lid is properly placed on the pan to retain heat.
    • Avoid overcrowding the pan, which can reduce cooking efficiency.
  • Pan coating appears damaged:
    • Always use non-abrasive utensils (wood, silicone, plastic) to protect the non-stick surface.
    • Clean with soft sponges and mild detergents only.

If the problem persists after checking these points, please contact Black+Decker customer support.
