Important Safeguards

  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or disposal.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Ensure the drip tray is clean and properly inserted. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
  3. Placement: Place the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface, away from walls or other heat-sensitive objects. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Drip Tray Installation: Insert the removable drip tray into its designated slot at the front of the appliance to collect any excess grease during cooking.

Operating Instructions

This appliance offers versatile cooking options, functioning as a panini press, sandwich maker, or an open indoor grill.

1. Preheating the Appliance

  1. Ensure the drip tray is in place.
  2. Close the grill plates.
  3. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The red power indicator light and green preheat indicator light will illuminate.
  4. Turn the temperature control knob to your desired setting (between 410°F and 482°F).
  5. Allow the appliance to preheat. The green preheat indicator light will turn off when the set temperature is reached, indicating it is ready for use.

2. Using as a Panini Press / Sandwich Maker (Closed Mode)

  1. After preheating, carefully open the top plate using the cool-touch handle.
  2. Place your sandwich or panini onto the bottom cooking plate. Do not overfill.
  3. Gently close the top plate over the food. The floating hinge allows for even pressure on various thicknesses.
  4. Cook for 3-8 minutes, or until the food is golden brown and heated through. Cooking time may vary based on ingredients and desired crispness.
  5. Once cooked, carefully remove the food using a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil. Avoid metal utensils to prevent scratching the non-stick coating.

3. Using as an Indoor Grill (180° Open Mode)

  1. After preheating, gently push the release button or mechanism (if present) and open the top plate fully until it lies flat, creating a 180-degree open grilling surface.
  2. Place food items such as steaks, vegetables, or burgers directly onto the heated cooking plates.
  3. Cook according to your recipe or desired doneness, flipping food as needed for even cooking.
  4. Once cooked, carefully remove the food using a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil.

4. After Use

  1. Turn the temperature control knob to the 'Off' position.
  2. Unplug the appliance from the wall outlet.
  3. Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning or storing.

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your appliance.

  1. Cool Down: Always allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Drip Tray: Remove the drip tray and empty any collected grease. Wash the drip tray in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. It is not dishwasher safe.
  3. Cooking Plates: Wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, use a small amount of mild dish soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils, as these can damage the non-stick coating.
  4. Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  5. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. The compact design allows for vertical storage to save space.

Troubleshooting
