2. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the efficient and safe operation of your washing machine.
2.1 Unpacking
- Remove all packaging materials, including the polystyrene base and any protective film.
- Carefully remove the transport bolts from the rear of the machine. Keep these bolts for future transport.
- Inspect the machine for any damage. If damaged, do not install or operate it.
2.2 Positioning and Leveling
- Place the washing machine on a firm, level floor.
- Adjust the adjustable feet until the machine is perfectly level. Use a spirit level to verify.
- Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for ventilation and access.
2.3 Water Connection
- Connect the inlet hose to a cold water tap with a 3/4" thread. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent leaks.
- The drain hose should be securely placed into a standpipe or over the edge of a sink, ensuring it is not kinked and is at the correct height (60-100 cm from the floor).
2.4 Electrical Connection
- Plug the power cord into a grounded 220 VAC electrical outlet.
- Do not use extension cords or adapters.
3. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for a typical wash cycle.
3.1 Preparing Laundry
- Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and degree of soiling.
- Check garment care labels for washing instructions.
- Empty pockets and close zippers and fasteners.
3.2 Loading Laundry
- Open the washing machine door.
- Load laundry loosely into the drum, ensuring not to overload. The maximum capacity is 8 kg.
- Close the door firmly until it clicks.
3.3 Adding Detergent and Additives
- Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer.
- Add the appropriate amount of detergent to the main wash compartment.
- Add fabric softener or other additives to their respective compartments, if desired.
- Push the dispenser drawer back in completely.
3.4 Selecting a Program
- Turn the program selector dial to choose the desired wash program (e.g., Cotton, Synthetics, Delicates).
- Use the buttons on the control panel to adjust additional settings such as temperature, spin speed (up to 1400 rpm), or pre-wash, if available for the selected program.
3.5 Starting the Wash Cycle
- Press the "Start/Pause" button to begin the wash cycle.
- The display will show the remaining time or program status.
3.6 Ending the Wash Cycle
- Once the program is complete, the machine will signal with an audible alert or a message on the display.
- Open the door and remove the laundry promptly to prevent wrinkles and odors.
- Leave the door slightly ajar to allow the drum to air dry.
4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your washing machine.
4.1 Cleaning the Detergent Dispenser
- Pull out the dispenser drawer completely.
- Remove any removable inserts and rinse them under running water.
- Clean the drawer housing with a brush to remove detergent residue.
- Reassemble and reinsert the drawer.
4.2 Cleaning the Drum
- Run a maintenance wash cycle (e.g., "Drum Clean" or a hot wash with no laundry and a descaling agent) periodically to prevent odors and residue buildup.
4.3 Cleaning the Drain Pump Filter
- Locate the filter cover at the bottom front of the machine.
- Place a shallow container beneath the filter to catch any residual water.
- Carefully open the cover and unscrew the filter.
- Remove any lint, coins, or foreign objects. Rinse the filter under running water.
- Screw the filter back in tightly and close the cover.
4.4 Cleaning the Exterior
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
