1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the DMR-DO-55A Semi-Automatic 5 kg Spin Dryer. This appliance is designed to efficiently remove excess water from your laundry through a powerful spinning action, significantly reducing drying time. Please read this manual carefully before operating the dryer to ensure safe and optimal performance. This dryer is intended for spin-drying only and does not include a washing function.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Always ensure the dryer is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent excessive vibration during operation.
  • Do not overload the dryer. The maximum capacity is 5 kg. Overloading can lead to inefficient drying and damage to the motor.
  • Ensure the lid is securely closed before starting the spin cycle.
  • Keep hands and loose clothing away from the spinning drum.
  • Do not attempt to stop the drum manually during operation.
  • Unplug the dryer from the power outlet before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • This dryer performs spin-drying only, removing 80-90% of water. Clothes will still require air drying or sunlight for complete dryness. It is not a hot air dryer.
  • Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged. Contact authorized service personnel for repairs.

4. Setup

The DMR-DO-55A Spin Dryer is designed for "Plug and Play" convenience, requiring no complex installation. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dryer from its packaging. Ensure all included components are present: 1 Dryer unit, 1 Inlet Pipe, 1 Cover for Dryer Tub, and this Product Manual cum warranty card.
  2. Placement: Place the dryer on a firm, flat, and stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and operation. Avoid placing it on uneven ground or soft carpets, which can cause excessive vibration.
  3. Drainage: Position the drain hose (Figure 5) to direct expelled water into a sink, drain, or bucket. Ensure the hose is not kinked or blocked.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 220 Volts AC power outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your DMR-DO-55A Spin Dryer:

  1. Load Laundry: Open both the outer lid and the inner cover (Figure 2). Place your wet laundry evenly inside the spinning tub (Figure 4). Do not exceed the 5 kg capacity. For best results and to minimize vibration, distribute the clothes as evenly as possible around the drum.
  2. Secure Covers: Place the cover for the dryer tub over the laundry and close both the inner cover and the outer lid securely. The dryer will not operate if the lid is not properly closed.
  3. Set Timer: Turn the spin timer knob (Figure 3) clockwise to your desired spin time. The maximum spin time is 5 minutes. For most loads, 3-5 minutes is sufficient. The dryer will start automatically once the timer is set.
  4. Spin Cycle: The dryer will spin at high speed, extracting water from the clothes. Water will be expelled through the drain hose.
  5. Completion: Once the timer reaches zero, the dryer will automatically stop. Wait for the drum to come to a complete stop before opening the lid.
  6. Remove Laundry: Open the lids and carefully remove your spin-dried laundry.

Note: This spin dryer removes approximately 80-90% of water. Clothes will still be damp and require further drying in open air or sunlight for complete dryness. This is not a hot air dryer.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your spin dryer:

  • Cleaning the Tub: After each use, wipe the inside of the spinning tub with a clean, damp cloth to remove any lint or residue.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the dryer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Drain Hose: Periodically check the drain hose for any blockages or kinks. Ensure it is clear for proper water drainage.
  • Storage: If storing the dryer for an extended period, ensure it is clean and dry. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
