Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and any promotional labels or stickers from your deep fryer.
  2. Cleaning: Before first use, wash the lid, fry basket, removable divider, and oil container in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The main unit (housing with heating element and control panel) should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  3. Assembly:
    • Place the oil container securely into the main unit.
    • Insert the heating element and control panel assembly into the designated slot at the back of the main unit, ensuring it is properly seated.
    • Place the fry basket into the oil container. If using the divider, insert it into the basket.
    • Attach the basket handle to the fry basket.
    • Place the lid on top of the deep fryer.
  4. Adding Oil: Fill the oil container with cooking oil suitable for deep frying. Ensure the oil level is between the MIN and MAX fill lines indicated inside the container. The fryer has a 4.5-liter capacity.
  5. Power Connection: Attach the magnetic breakaway power cord to the appliance, then plug the cord into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Preheating the Oil

  1. Ensure the deep fryer is properly assembled and filled with oil.
  2. Set the desired temperature using the temperature control dial. The fryer can heat up to 375°F.
  3. Set the timer dial to the desired preheating time (e.g., 10-15 minutes). The fryer will not heat unless the timer is set.
  4. The "Heating" indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the oil is heating.
  5. Once the oil reaches the set temperature, the "Heating" light may turn off or cycle on and off to maintain the temperature.

Frying Food

  1. Once the oil is preheated, carefully lower the fry basket containing the food into the hot oil. Do not overload the basket. If using the divider, ensure food items are separated.
  2. Close the lid. The viewing window allows you to monitor the cooking process without opening the lid, which helps contain splatter and odors.
  3. Set the timer for the recommended cooking duration for your specific food item.
  4. When the timer expires, carefully lift the basket out of the oil. Use the basket clips to hook the basket onto the rim of the oil container, allowing excess oil to drain.
  5. Carefully remove the food from the basket and serve.
  6. Unplug the appliance when finished cooking.

Tips for Best Results

  • Ensure food is dry before frying to prevent excessive splattering.
  • Do not overcrowd the basket; fry in small batches for even cooking and crispiness.
  • Use a cooking thermometer to verify oil temperature if precise control is critical.
  • Change oil regularly for optimal taste and performance.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and safe operation of your deep fryer.

  1. Cool Down: Always allow the oil and appliance to cool completely before cleaning. This can take several hours.
  2. Oil Disposal/Storage: Once cooled, carefully remove the oil container. Filter used oil for reuse or dispose of it properly according to local regulations.
  3. Dishwasher Safe Parts: The lid, fry basket, removable divider, handle, and oil container are dishwasher safe. Place them on the top rack for cleaning.
  4. Main Unit Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the main unit and the heating element/control panel assembly with a damp cloth. Do not immerse these parts in water or any other liquid.
  5. Charcoal Filter: The charcoal air filter in the lid helps reduce odors. Replace it periodically as needed (replacement filters sold separately).
  6. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before reassembling and storing the deep fryer in a cool, dry place.
