4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Physical Installation

The smart valve controller is designed for easy installation without professional assistance. It can be mounted over existing ball valves for water or gas lines.

  1. Ensure the main water or gas supply is turned off before installation.
  2. Position the smart valve controller over the existing valve handle. The controller's arm should align with the valve handle.
  3. Secure the controller to the pipe using the provided hose clamp. Ensure it is tightly fastened to prevent movement during operation.
  4. Adjust the position of the valve handle bracket to ensure the controller's arm can fully open and close the valve.
  5. Connect the power adapter to the controller and plug it into a power outlet.

4.2 App Pairing (Tuya Smart / Smart Life)

To control the valve remotely, pair it with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life application on your smartphone.

  1. Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" app from your device's app store (iOS/Android).
  2. Register or log in to your account.
  3. Press and hold the pairing button on the smart valve controller until the Wi-Fi indicator light blinks rapidly.
  4. In the app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device. The app should automatically discover the "Smart valve controller."
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the device to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Enter your Wi-Fi password when requested.
  6. Once connected, you can rename the device for easier identification.

5. Operation

5.1 Remote Control via App
